Which actors have let you down?

Um, I suppose this is all just a joke—though, honestly, the movie in question is pretty much universally regarded as a total disaster waiting to happen 🤣

I usually think he's one of the greats, honestly,Tim Roth, but he totally let me down😢 in Tim Burton's version of Planet of the Apes—which was also a massive disaster. I mean, his acting was fine, don't get me wrong, but he really didn't need to do that🤮. I'm generally not a fan of remakes, but this one🙂...

Man, this is going to be an absolute spectacle! The latest rumors are flying around that the film is officially wrapped, but apparently, Herbert Boll is having a hell of a time trying to track down a distributor. 😁 Supposedly, the film is headed for a release in Germany this summer before rolling out across the rest of Europe. Based on the trailer alone, there is a glaring level of overacting, though we'll have to wait and see if it manages to surpass BloodRayne.

Ben Kingsley is an exceptional actor, but I have to say, his appearance in BloodRayne was a massive disappointment. Throughout the entire movie, he just had this one constant expression on his face: "What on earth am I doing here?"

I still have a soft spot for Thomas. He’s a talented actor, even if he did act like a complete lunatic for a while there...

So, just to clarify—are we judging these actors based on how much they let themselves down physically or through their off-screen behavior, or are we actually looking at their craft?

Personally, I've found the recent performances from Keira Knightley, Gwyneth Paltrow, Julia Roberts, and even the legendary Al Pacino to be pretty disappointing lately...

Since we already have a thread dedicated to directorial disasters, it’s about time we had one for the actors themselves.
I mean, we're talking about those specific roles that any actor with even a shred of self-respect would have turned down... but apparently, some people thought saying "yes" was a brilliant career move.
Early career stumbles don't count here—like Tim Robbins in "Howard the Duck"—because honestly, we could go on forever if we included everyone's first mistakes. We're strictly looking at roles taken once they were already established names.



James Bond in diapers — Sean Connery in "Zardoz"



Oscar winners humiliating themselves — Warren Beatty and Dustin Hoffman in "Ishtar"



Scientologist or rastafarian — John Travolta in "Battlefield Earth"
