Clerks II (2006)

I was wondering if CLERKS II (Kevin Smith) is going to hit theaters here in the States? It’s already playing overseas, so I'm curious if there's a release date set for us yet.

I don't think so. We'll probably have to wait until they hit the video rental stores.

To be honest, I’m a bit wary of this sequel. I can't quite wrap my head around why they even felt the need to make one in the first place. My fear is that it'll just end up tarnishing the legacy of the original film.
I truly hope I'm wrong, though.

It’s such a bummer because Jay, Silent Bob, and basically most of Smith's movies were released through UCLA, and now they're just dumping everything into convenience stores for $13 🤮

I was pretty skeptical myself, but once I actually sat down and watched it, I was totally blown away.
It's a great movie.

It doesn't quite top the first one, but it's still a fantastic movie.

The film had much more potential than what actually made it to the screen.

Solid movie! I honestly think the first one holds a candle to this one, but the sequel isn't half bad either; if you were a fan of the original, you'll definitely find something to enjoy here.

The first one is miles ahead, though I wouldn't go so far as to call the sequel a bad movie,
it just feels like the director ran out of steam and leaned way too hard on clichés. It seems he realized a standard plot—you know, characters circling each other until they hit some predictable happy ending—is just an easier sell.😬

I found the original Clerks to be absolutely brilliant...

The sequel doesn't even come close. Watching Randall roast that Loft trilogy was pure gold. 😁
Both movies are worth a watch. Honestly, just binge them back-to-back.

Clerks II is absolute perfection; it offers such a wonderful blend of clever and raw humor that simply never fails to deliver.👍 👍 👍

Spot on. It’s not some nonstop laugh-until-you-cry comedy, but man, does it have its moments! There are plenty of great bits in there if you know what to look for.

If you’re a fan of Smith and Merchant, you’ll find Clerks II absolutely hits the spot... it stays true to that signature style they perfected...
I have to say, Rosario Dawson is just stunning... absolutely gorgeous 🙂
The thing is, I can't see this getting a wide theatrical release... which is a real shame...

No real deep conversations here, just one solid cameo. You've got that guy from Mallrats and My Name Is Earl popping in, and honestly, the only decent addition to the cast is Rosario Dawson.

Honestly, the whole thing was a total letdown. Not even worth the hype.

I'm really hoping the third one turns out way better.

Yeah, Clerks II is a total disaster.
By the way, I didn't even know this animated series existed until a few months ago. It’s no exaggeration to say I binged the whole thing in a single day, and I actually thought it was great. Episode 2 was probably my favorite.
