Honestly, those scenes are completely pointless.
It’s just stuff made for kids.
That particular scene where they gouge out the guy's eyes? A standard American ophthalmologist probably sees something like that every single day before heading out for a quick lunch break.
If you want to talk about actual, visceral violence, look at the scene in Casino with Pesci where he slits a guy's throat with a pencil right at the bar.😍
