It really feels like the journalists are just obsessed with him based on what they’re writing. Shouldn't they be keeping things cool and objective? 😕

It feels to me like all this intense talk about "love" has somehow bled into the narrative regarding the festival's downfall.

Are journalists just being cold and objective when they write that a festival is actually good? Or is that even possible?

Who was even talking about ruin? Honestly, Rajko Grlic probably pushed that narrative himself just to keep everyone on edge so nobody would mess with the programming 😬

When I remember how easy it used to be to find parking way out in the suburbs, I realize I shouldn't have driven straight into the heart of downtown. It was pretty obvious what kind of mess I was getting into...

My last night here (talking about the festival) felt pretty much like any other year. Honestly, it was way too crowded. Sadly.

northerncrane4, none of the organizers actually announced anything about the festival being canceled while they were on stage.
As for how Dukic's film is going to be distributed, I really don't have a clue.

Looking Left Looking Right - the festival opener; people are saying it's alright.

I watched Kamikaze Pizzeria and I actually 😍 loved it, but Chronicle of a Flight played right after and it didn't really land for me. Still, I don't regret seeing it, if only because of the subject matter.

The law says everyone’s entitled to one copy for personal use, right?😁 Don't get me wrong—I'm not out here rooting for people to pirate movies that haven't even hit theaters yet. I'm only talking about stuff that's under Creative Commons, things you can't find anywhere, banned titles, out-of-print classics, or that kind of thing. Dukic will probably find a distributor for this one locally anyway.

It seems they were essentially hedging their bets—securing their footing by preparing for a shutdown, then pivoting to claim they were only teasing us about the end! They essentially said, "Oh, we were just joking about closing down to poke fun at those fake scandals and yellow journalism tactics!"

This was easily one of the best festivals I've been to. The lineup was top-tier—the only thing missing was that laid-back camping vibe. 😢 One suggestion: they really need to sell bus tickets outside the vehicle to speed things up. On my last night, I tried buying VIP tickets at the bus, but the crowd was such a mess that I actually missed the start of the movie.
Does anyone know the soundtracks used in Looking Left Looking Right and Kamikaze Pizzeria? A friend recognized Sleepy Jackson, Rain Falls for Wind, and Amanda Brown, along with a few others, but I’d love to find the full tracklist.

I’m really curious to hear about people's experiences with this festival. All I’ve heard so far is glowing praise.
Well, it actually just occurred to us this year that we should head out to Motovun.
What’s the situation like regarding accommodations? I'm mostly interested in the camping scene.
The website only provides a few vague details—it mentions a $5 daily fee, but there’s nothing about reservations or anything else.
To be honest, the whole thing feels a bit strange to me.
If anyone has been there before and has any advice, I would truly appreciate it if you could share some of your wisdom with me.👍

The Satori sites are set up in a campsite at the base of the hills. It was $1.75 per day, and since space is pretty limited, it’s definitely a "first come, first served" kind of situation. I think you can find more details on the official website's forum—there's actually a specific "Camping" section there.
