Hm... I actually stopped following that franchise after just the first 10 minutes of the original movie...

I caught this at the local theater last week when it first dropped, and man, what a ride! Seriously, the movie was awesome... I even went out and grabbed the soundtracks too! :P
If you were a fan of the first two installments, you are absolutely going to love this one... :P

And why does it bother you all that they have such incredible cars in that movie
—I guess maybe you're just jealous or something else entirely
—but why even ask? It’s a film, after all, and movies are full of unrealistic stuff

Watching this movie, and honestly, it’s garbage.
The first one was decent enough, the second was already a total mess, but this one? This is peak trash cinema.👎 👎 👎

To Jonathan Thomas4: Look, you said you were trying to track down the movie, so I was just wondering where on earth you're even looking...

Brandon Cook, if you’ve got it, then it doesn't really matter
I suppose I'll go ahead and pick one up for $10
no need to worry

The first one held its own, the second was already total trash, but this? This is the absolute peak of low-budget junk.👎 👎 👎

You’re acting like "trash" is a bad thing. Trash is the ultimate form of entertainment—right after watching a clown show, obviously.

Look, if it's actual garbage, it's garbage. To me, "trash" means it's crap.
If something is so stupidly unrealistic that it makes zero sense, I can't find it funny.
I'm not five years old; I don't find that stuff cool.

I'm not some five-year-old kid who thinks this stuff is cool.

That’s exactly who they're aiming for—kids. My brother is 16, and he thinks it's awesome.

Honestly, guys, what's even real? Every single movie
is basically fiction anyway, so why does it even matter???

the film is 👍 👍 👍

The movie is 👍 👍 👍

Some are just meant for adults, while others are for kids.

Let me say something to those of you tearing this movie apart... personally, I thought it was great... women... cars... more women... more cars... then the music... it’s all wrapped up into one thing called a MOVIE... movies are meant for entertainment—just like football, for example. What's the point there? 22 idiots chasing a piece of leather around a field—if someone watched us from space, they'd ask what the hell we're doing, right?
And back to the film... this movie introduces us to a whole new side of car culture: drifting. It's set in Los Angeles for a reason—the best drifters in the world come from that scene
Now look... where does the money come from? Maybe some people are just born under a lucky star and have cash to dump into cars—which is exactly what most Tuner freaks would do anyway here in the States... looking at the big picture, the movie isn't bad at all... you guys all obsessed with Rambo and Commandos too, didn't you? One super ultra cool soldier takes out 523,944,317,941 of them and happily heads home to his wife and kids... sounded realistic enough to me
As for the stunts, they were done professionally—just imagine how much skill and driving talent it takes to pull off all those drifting scenes, even if some were filmed in parking lots and edited in later... but that doesn't matter now... that final race down the hill was filmed 90% on that actual hill... they had to repeat certain turns maybe 15 times over
So yeah... that's about it. Please don't take this post personally—it's just a movie... but if anyone actually wants to learn something about drifting and stuff

Thanks for understanding....🙂

One more thing... if anyone's looking for a soundtrack, hit me up. I don't give a damn about the beer—but I can definitely wrap a few things up for you...

wearycanyon55, major respect for this post, because honestly, I couldn't have phrased it better myself...
personally, I've always found it a bit exhausting when people feel the need to nitpick every single film they see. It’s like, someone goes to see a superhero flick, and then they sit around complaining, "Oh, how can he jump that high or fly like that?" It’s just unbelievable...
you really have to view a movie as pure entertainment, plain and simple. For me, there are very few films I could actually call garbage, mostly because before I even sit down, I already know exactly what I'm looking for. In this specific case, I went into The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift expecting killer cars, high-speed chases, and that absolutely stunning actress, Nathalie Kelley... and that is exactly what I got...

Come now, my dear fellow, let’s be realistic—a movie is just a movie, isn't it? But when you take a production and decide to pack it full of nothing but high-performance muscle cars and stunningly beautiful women, well, I suppose I have to tip my hat to them; I'm bowing low in respect.🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏

Personally, people who complain about every single movie drive me crazy. Like, someone goes to see a superhero flick and then starts whining, "How can he jump and fly like that?" Give me a break...
Movies are meant for entertainment—period. For me, a movie is only trash if it fails to deliver what I came for. Take The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, for example. I went in expecting killer cars, high-speed chases, and that amazing actress (Nathalie Kelley). And that’s exactly what I got.....

Man, that woman was something else...😁 😁 😁 👍
And that Mazda MX-7? Absolute perfection.

Yeah... I was watching some behind-the-scenes footage of how they filmed the original movie today... and honestly? All I can say is one thing: massive respect to those drivers. No CGI bullshit here—just pure skill. They had at least eight Mitsubishi Evolutions ready to go for the shoot, plus they brought in the best drifters in the world. But what really blows my mind? The actors actually had drift timers so they knew exactly how much intensity to bring to their performances... damn, that's badass. Just wanted to share that.🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏

And that final race... where the bumpers are basically hanging off the edge of the cliff? That was actually shot and driven for real... maximum respect.

Prelude said:who gives a damn. I mean, have you guys actually watched this movie? I’m just gonna copy-paste some stuff I wrote on another forum (where actual car enthusiasts hang out)

1. Where the hell are these high school punks getting the cash for cars like a 350Z? It would take them forever just to get one looking halfway decent.
I worked my entire high school career, and all I ever had was a beat-up old Chevy Nova and a Vespa (not counting my Panda). Both were absolute junk. I still ride that Vespa, though...

2. And where are they finding those massive garages stuffed with all those crazy builds? Half the tools I own, I had to buy one by one, and the other half I basically scavenged from Home Depot and Walmart.//

3. Four 13" tires $1000. He’s talking about putting on a fourth set of tires, but I seriously doubt he’s ever even driven on asphalt (unless his cousin is some pro racer from the Midwest)

4. Wait, did they really shove a Renault engine into a Mustang? Henry Ford is probably spinning in his grave right now.

There’s a million other stupid things, but I don't feel like typing it all out. I’d need to grab a notebook and a pen just to keep up while I watch. Basically, points 1, 2, and 3—I can't decide which part is the biggest load of crap. Out of all the car movies, my favorite has gotta be "Gone in 60 Seconds" with Nicolas Cage and Eleanor.

This movie is honestly one of the biggest piles of garbage I've ever seen.

you missed one tiny little detail......it's a MOVIE!
