How do I upload images and videos to the forum?

Every time I hit that 'insert image' icon, I try deleting the "http://" part at the start, and then... nothing. Just zero results.

It’s not working because you're linking to the web page instead of the actual image file itself.
The real URL is sitting right there on the right side under "Direct link"—it looks like this: http://img84.imgur.com/img84/6519/bbordot2.png

I could really use some help here—I’ve been trying to upload a photo from my laptop to the forum, but I keep getting this "failed" error message over and over again.
Does anyone know why this might be happening?
I mean, I don't think it should be this complicated, and I'm really hoping I'm not just being totally tech-illiterate! 🙄

First, you’ve got to upload your photo to an image hosting site—something like Imgur. Once that's done, just wrap the direct link between those (image) tags, or if you're feeling lazy, just hit the "Insert Image" button on the forum interface.
