What’s everyone’s take on those earplugs? Is the noise reduction actually noticeable? I think I might need a pair myself... I’ve been having such a hard time falling asleep lately. Even the tiniest little things bother me—honestly, even the rhythmic ticking of a clock is enough to keep me wide awake.

I stopped by Cosmo in Downtown today and they’ve clearly never heard of these masks. It's like I'm speaking a different language.
Does anyone know if they still carry them in Cosmo, or did they pull them from the shelves?

I finally picked up a Tempur eye mask—basically a little slice of heaven for relaxation. It’s designed specifically so you can actually keep your eyes open underneath it if you want to 😍

I was actually thinking about picking up a Tempur mattress because it looks incredibly comfortable, but I’ve been reading online that you can't wash them. What does it say on the cover? Is it washable or not?

There's some info here regarding the mask

Unfortunately, I couldn't dig up anything definitive about whether you can toss it in the wash... most likely the answer is no.
Even though if you look at the reviews, customers are mostly complaining about how the strap stretches out and loses its tension after about a year, nobody seems to mention anything about washing it.😁

I’ve tried it myself, and there's some kind of Velcro on the back. Does that terry cloth strip up to the Velcro somehow make it less effective? And as for washing it—I don't see why you couldn't just hand-wash it. Maybe it's the material.

The outer material would be perfectly fine to wash... just like their pillowcases, really. The real issue is that internal padding mass. 🤔

Yeah, apparently the strap loses its tension... and supposedly after just a year, though maybe that was just because they were dealing with an oversized head. 😁

Found the care label with the washing instructions... it was tucked away deep inside the folds
They suggest hand washing with a mild detergent 👍

Where did you pick up that mask, and what was the damage?

Look, there are pharmacies that actually stock Tempur pillows; if they don't have them on hand, they can just order one for you.
It'll be roughly $63, and get the dark blue one.

I personally ordered mine at a pharmacy in Downtown.

So, earplugs are basically the go-to at the pharmacy...
I mean, specifically for blocking out noise—my neighbor's dog won't stop barking in the middle of the night, and it's waking me up constantly. I actually tried stuffing cotton balls in my ears once, but that was a disaster; I just woke up with a massive headache...
Are we talking the foam ones?

That’s great. As long as it's washable, I'm happy. If it really is as comfortable as everyone claims, I won't mind grabbing another one once this one wears out. But without being able to wash it? Forget it.
I've been sleeping with an old, stretched-out terry cloth sweatband for ages now. Ha. This would be a massive upgrade. Heading out to pick one up.
Thanks.

I actually picked up a set that included both a sleep mask and some earplugs over at the Samsonite store. I believe the whole kit was right around $23.

Oh, they definitely have it!!!
They’ve got it at Cosmo. Picked mine up today😁—actually grabbed two.

Sweet.

I'm gonna sleep like a baby tonight, hopefully. 😍

Does anyone happen to know the name of that pharmacy on El Paso Street in Washington, D.C. that makes custom water bottle caps?

Does anyone know where I can snag a mask like this one? It's mostly for massage and dealing with my sinus pain—honestly, my sinuses are absolutely killing me right now 🙂. I've been scrolling through posts and even stopped by a few local pharmacies (including the ones Downtown) to ask, but nobody seems to have any clue what I'm talking about.
Thanks!

I think I saw something pretty similar over at that "Natural Remedies" shop on Tomašićeva. Honestly, it might have come with some kind of gel, but the description sounded just like this. Give them a call and ask. Or if you're ever passing by, just swing in and check it out if you have the time. 🙂

Omg, thank you so much!!! 🙂 🙂 👋
I'm seriously counting down the days until Monday so I can give them a ring and see if they have it in stock—I noticed they have locations on both Vlaški and Tomašićeva. Honestly, I was starting to think nobody was ever going to get back to me.

I’m starting this thread because I urgently need some advice. 😁

My brother has a new girlfriend, and frankly, when they’re having sex, she screams like she’s being tortured (to put it mildly).
I picked up some foam earplugs from the drugstore, but they aren't doing much to help.
Are silicone ones any better, and where can I actually find them? (The thread mentioned Samsonite, but do they still carry them there?)
I desperately need some sleep. 🙏

(And before anyone asks—yes, I am counting down the days until my move. 😁)
