jaja said:I would love to ask the readers here for some advice on what to buy as a thank-you gift for my doctor. He really fixed me up, but I don't want anything that feels too expensive, too cheap, or just plain tacky...
I'm assuming he doesn't want to become an alcoholic, so let's skip the liquor bottles.
I noticed there are plenty of doctors reading this thread, so maybe some insight from your professional experience would be helpful...

Nothing
Just be polite and sincerely thank him for everything he did for you.
Send him a card for Christmas and New Year's Day.

What fools I’ve been! It took me an entire day to realize exactly who I was "conversing" with in the first place. As the old saying goes: first determine who you are dealing with, then decide how to proceed.
Only after spending a little more time browsing through the Health and Wellness section did I realize, just by looking at the usernames, that I have spent my time trying to convince a pack of wolves in sheep's clothing that it is detrimental to the community when "certain individuals" steal and slaughter the flock. I was naively wondering why they wouldn't understand, so I kept charging ahead with my explanations!🤣I am talking about gratitude worth thousands of dollars, while they lecture me about crumbs... Actually, a better analogy would be mice stealing cheese, because you all are clearly just little mice fighting tooth and nail for your tiny morsels. Real wolves remain silent, they simply go about their business, and they certainly don't have the time to scream on internet forums about their right to a chocolate bar. That is why they have you—the "soldiers" in the front lines, hoping that one day a fat sheep might fall your way, but for now, even the cheese will do.😍

But not all evil is equal: it is actually quite beneficial for the patients to see (if they ever do) how their "gods" truly think—what they really believe about their followers, what kind of language they use, and how many coherent sentences they can manage to write, aside from the constant mockery and insults.👋

Given where this thread is heading—and in line with the new rule I’m putting into effect starting today—I'm shutting this topic down
