Billi said:I was wondering if I should whip up a good shake and toss in some sweetener and chocolate too, what do you think?😁

There’s actually a full list out there somewhere: "The 1001 Ways to Make a Shake" by Munch-Mayov and granitegull3😁

Oh, please, stop the chatter—you ladies are just being jealous! 🙄

Thankfully, those monthly hormonal rollercoasters don't throw me off my game anymore. 🎉 But, honestly, during those days, I just convince myself that a massive sugar craving is a biological necessity—so I indulge in plenty of chocolate. 🙂

[User Name] says:
I eat whatever is right in front of me. No filter. No plan. Just hunger.
Yesterday was an absolute marathon. I hit a prosciutto pizza first. Then moved straight onto sausage. By the time I was done, I realized I’d run out of chocolate. Just my luck.
Staying disciplined today. Just sticking to coffee, tea, and water. No more.

I'm wired. Completely hyper. I can't get a single thing done—my focus is all over the place.

What do you guys do when it hits you?

Go see your OB-GYN and get on birth control. It completely killed my PMS. Seriously, I'm so grateful—no more mental breakdowns every month. 🙏

nimbledriver81 said:Oh, stop it, you jealous girls! 🙄

I don't really let my monthly cycle get the best of me anymore. 🎉 Instead, I just convince myself I’m craving something sweet, so I dive right into some chocolate. 🙂

1. Jealous of what, exactly?
2. Don't worry, you'll be stuck waiting at a Greyhound station soon enough for your five minutes of luck to run out.
3. No need to apologize for chocolate—we all know it's basically a superfood!

jadesailor14 said:1. What exactly are we being envious about here?

Oh, you aren't—not at all! You’re actually downplaying just how much ground Munch-Mayov has gained in the market lately. 🙄 😁

2. Don't worry, I'm just sitting here on the bus waiting for my five minutes of fame before life catches me off guard.

Not happening. 🙂 It’s been several months since my last massive binge-eating episode.

3. No apology needed for chocolate; we all know it's basically a superfood.

True enough. 🙂

:

Who?
Me? No way! I actually really admire him. The guy is building a real empire. In just a few months, he'll be right up there with that power couple from Little Rock.

Speaking of them, did you guys know they actually sell
weight-loss soap?
The more you use it, the thinner you get!
My husband actually banned me from buying it because he loves showering so much that he was afraid I'd wash right down the drain and leave him a widower! haha!

As for point number 2, don't hold your breath. I used to think I'd never fall for that stuff either.
Your PMS is just hitting you at the ferry terminal.

Michael Cox40 said:Actually, granitegull3, from what I understand about the whole situation, it isn't really an issue of circulation, but rather a matter of hormones.

My apologies; my previous comment was intended for those women who experience truly debilitating and unbearable PMS symptoms... but I realize now that doesn't seem to be the case here, so please excuse me. 😉 🙂

Magnetic jewelry might help with circulation... but that's beside the point. 🙂

Michael Cox40 said:I haven't really tried any of those miracle remedies ( 😁 ), but honestly, I’ve never dealt with PMS—nor do I ever expect to—and it truly irritates me when someone tries to excuse their behavior by saying, "Sorry, it was just my PMS," after they've, say, spilled coffee all over me.
I realize you probably don't care and that this isn't particularly helpful to the conversation, but I felt compelled to mention it, if only so we don't fall into the trap of assuming every woman experiences that "unbearable condition." 😁

Oh, and granitegull3, from what I gather about how these things work, it seems less about circulation and more about hormones.

Cut out the sugar, chocolate, and coffee... maybe you won't deal with PMS anymore.👍

If we're talking about PMS being the culprit, then honestly, I'd take him back in a heartbeat. Between my massive chocolate stash and the sheer amount of caffeine running through my veins, there’s absolutely no room left for him. 😛

People on this forum obsess over PMS to such an absurd degree—much like they do with gender dynamics and those other endless generalizations—that women have actually started using it as a default excuse for their own moods.
"Oh, I was just so incredibly irritable today, and since it was a week before my period, it absolutely has to be PMS—yeah, I definitely have PMS."

But maybe you weren't acting out because of hormones... perhaps you were just losing your mind because some clerk at Chase Bank was being incredibly condescending, or maybe you caught a glimpse of something truly horrific happening in the neighborhood... 🙄

It’s all just pointless nonsense; please, find something else to fixate on 🥳

boldeagle3, you’re absolutely spot on 😁

For instance, I didn't even notice my own cellulite until I started reading this endless saga about it on this forum 😁

Personally, I didn't even realize I had cellulite until I started reading the endless sagas about it on this forum... 😁

Me too. 🤣

Now, when I walk through the bathroom, I don't even bother looking at my face in the mirror—I just check out my backside instead... 😁

I used to deal with it, I guess, until I cut out the junk food and soda. Now? It's gone.🙂

Then some pseudo-intellectual guy has the nerve to tell me I’m making it up, claiming PMS isn't even a thing.

I'd love to see someone actually try to take our symptoms seriously...🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Look, I wouldn’t take him if you offered him to me for free, thanks but no thanks. 😁
Just don't use that as an excuse for how people treat me. Sorry, but I have bad days too—whether it’s due to hormones or whatever else—and I don't go around snapping at everyone like a lunatic because of it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying everyone dealing with PMS acts out, but I've certainly had my fair share of run-ins with people who use the "it's just my according to them PMS" line to justify being jerks.

Look, I’m not trying to make excuses here, but normally I’m a totally chill person (or at least I can fake it well enough), but when my PMS hits? Man, I can't even handle myself, let alone expect anyone else to put up with me. Everything gets under my skin. Things that I’d usually just shrug off and ignore suddenly turn me into a literal bloodthirsty monster. I just fight and fight and fight (and then I'll burst into tears during my breaks). Of course, the whole thing clashes horribly with the fact that I actually crave affection more than ever during those days. So my partner—who basically walks on eggshells because he knows if he says one wrong thing about something minor, I might actually gouge his eyes out—just has to suck it up and take it.

Honestly, I think everyone around me is basically a victim of my cycle.

And no, I don't go on some massive binge eating spree when this happens (mostly because I'm too busy tearing my hair out to eat). The only thing is that I find myself getting up between 2 and 3 in the morning because I'm starving, but honestly, I do that all the time anyway, so I don't think it's even related to the PMS.

Also—and please don't come for me here—I don't even crave chocolate during those times. I don't even like chocolate, or pastries, or coffee, really. But hey, I guess that's beside the point, right?👋

Exactly this image

😬

For me, the PMS doesn't even hit until every two or three months... and when it does, it hits hard
