How to resize a GIF to 50x50px?

I have been quite eager to adorn my profile avatar with some truly captivating GIFs, yet I find myself stymied by the fact that they are simply too massive for the system to accept. Does anyone happen to be acquainted with the proper techniques to scale them down—perhaps utilizing something like Photoshop, for instance? Danak Ihnen
