Hide and Seek

Caught a sneak preview of this at AMC Theatres yesterday. It’s a semi-horror starring De Niro and Dakota Fanning. The plot goes something like this...
De Niro’s wife takes her own life, and their daughter is struggling to cope. To help them both move on, De Niro decides to leave New York City for some quiet little town, thinking a change of scenery is exactly what they need. Boy, was he wrong!! Weird stuff starts happening. Little Dakota tries to convince her dad that these creepy occurrences aren't her doing—as Robert suspects—but are actually caused by her friend Charlie. Since he's a psychologist, he picks up on those vibes and is convinced she just made Charlie up. I'll stop there, otherwise I'd be spoiling half the movie, and nobody wants that.

All in all, it's a decent watch if you like being a bit spooked, though the ending could have landed a little harder...

I just caught the premiere of Constantin, and man, it looks absolutely stunning! I’m crossing my fingers that the story holds up as well as the visuals do. I honestly can't wait for the wide release—I'm planning to head straight to the theater the moment it drops!

Caught a movie yesterday.
The plot felt recycled—just a slight twist on something I've already seen.
All things considered, it wasn't anything groundbreaking or special, but it's worth a watch if you have the time.

Personally, I thought the movie was a letdown... just a messy blend of horror tropes we've all seen a thousand times. After about 15 minutes, you've already figured out the whole plot. The absolute standout, though, is Dakota Fanning. She’s only seven or eight here, but she possesses an incredible, raw talent for acting!

That's the girl from Signs, right?

It's been 11 years! I really loved her performance in "Man on Fire." She’s already quite talented for her age, so I can only imagine what she'll be capable of in a few more years...

Personally, I thought the movie was pretty bad.

I heard the plot is pretty predictable—everyone seems to be raving about little Dakota Fanning, though...
I'll just wait until it hits DVD.😁

Honestly, this movie was a total snooze fest. About as thrilling as watching the weather report.

Seriously? Just what the world was waiting for—another movie built on a cheap twist where we find out nothing was real, the protagonist is actually insane, and everyone else was just part of their delusion👎

And honestly, I don't even care that I didn't include a spoiler alert—this movie is so mindless and dull it doesn't even deserve one😎

Watched DivX a couple of months back. It was alright for a one-time thing once.

The way mine ends is just little Dakota lying in bed at some facility. Locked away. That's it. 🙂

I mean, if you took away Elizabeth Shue's cleavage, 😍 this movie would honestly just be total garbage. 🤮

I just finished watching this. Honestly? Boring, just incredibly boring... I only sat through it because I genuinely believed a film starring De Niro couldn't possibly be a snooze-fest.

Someone over on IMDb was asking, "At what exact moment did you realize De Niro was actually the villain?"

Just finished watching this on Blu-ray.

Honestly, once I realized they were pulling that same one-in-a-decade twist again, I actually felt sick. Barely made it to the credits. I watched a similar flick recently starring Depp and Theron—Bacon, I think—and yeah, you can't kill me with the same trick twice.

Anyone responsible for this garbage deserves to be thrown in a bathtub along with that cat. Seriously. The second I saw that cat in a close-up, I knew we were doomed.

What’s even the point? Some guy's wife turns into a psycho killer, then the whole thing becomes some weird hereditary curse passed down to the kids... what a massive letdown.👎
