I’ve got a cocaine addict in my immediate family right now.
We heard some talk about this herbal therapy that’s supposedly incredibly effective for getting someone clean for good.
If anyone actually knows the name of this plant or how the whole process works, please shoot me a DM.
Thanks.

So, we've got this wealthy family where the guy is just straight-up addicted to cocaine.
I’m not really familiar with the specifics of this particular case, but honestly... if you just locked him in a room for a month, he’d probably figure out how to kick the habit pretty quickly.

I don't know anything about that specific case, but lock him in a room for a month and we'll see how quickly he "gets over" his addiction.

Just admit your parents were abusing you since you were three years old!

Someone using cocaine isn't actually addicted to the drug itself; they're chasing the endorphins. It’s those brain enzymes and hormones responsible for that rush of pleasure. They get released when you eat a piece of chocolate, too—it’s just that the difference between the dopamine hit from chocolate versus cocaine is like comparing a shot glass to an oil tanker.

As for the cocaine habit specifically, being hooked on it is usually a dead giveaway that you have far too much money, or so I think some actor once said... 🤔

Noah Sanders9 said:So, I’ve got this whole situation going on in my extended family—we’ve basically got a full-blown cocaine addiction situation on our hands. Honestly, it's just one of those things that keeps dragging everything down, you know? Just a constant, messy cycle of it all.
So, I keep hearing people buzz about this one specific herbal remedy—supposedly some kind of miracle plant that actually works for breaking habits? Like, supposedly it’s super effective and gives you a permanent fix for kicking those old cravings once and for all. Is that even legit, or just more wellness nonsense being peddled online?
If anyone actually knows what this plant is called—or if you happen to be an expert on whatever process is happening here—please, just hit me up via DM. Seriously, I’m lost.
Thanks.

Oh man, if that plant actually existed? Seriously, if it was real, we wouldn’t have half the problems we do today—I’m talking about addicts, communes, weird little cultish communities, all those fringe associations... gone. Just poof. Gone. Wouldn't that be something?

Honestly, Larry Cruz51 actually has a point—as much as it pains me to admit it. But seriously, does it even matter? Like, who cares if someone’s loaded, or if they’re just coasting on unemployment, or living off a Diet Coke habit? Does it matter if they’re cruising around in a vintage Volkswagen Beetle with those iconic round headlights, or if they’re just crashing on couches in some fancy Beverly Hills hallway? It’s all pretty much irrelevant at this point, right? 😢

I've been hearing some chatter lately about this herbal therapy—supposedly some kind of plant-based remedy that’s incredibly effective at helping people kick their habits for good. Apparently, it's meant to be a permanent fix rather than just a temporary patch.
If anyone actually knows what this plant is called or can explain how this process works, please shoot me a DM. I'd appreciate some real information.
Thanks.

Look, I’ve had my fair share of "close encounters" with addicts and former addicts throughout my life. Because of that, I can tell you exactly what they’ve shared with me about their own experiences, combined with everything I’ve personally dug up through my own research into the subject.

Cocaine addiction is fundamentally a psychological battle. That’s the reality most people miss. Everyone goes looking for herbal remedies or some magic plant-based supplement to fix them, but that stuff is a waste of time because it only addresses the physical side of the dependency—which, let's be honest, is actually the easy part to handle. If you literally lock yourself away for seven days, isolate completely, and push through, the physical cravings are almost entirely dealt with. You've cleared the biological hurdle. But the psychological addiction? That stays with you for life. It doesn't just vanish because you stopped sweating or shaking. What you actually need is to build a sustainable system that constantly reinforces your mental state. You have to find a way to empower your mind over and over again. For some, that means leaning into prayer—which is incredibly common. For others, it might mean a complete overhaul of their lifestyle or finding strength in their family. At the end of the day, the choice of which path to take lies solely with the addict. There is no shortcut for the mind.

You have to understand one thing here: we’re talking about a psychological addiction that sticks with you for life. It doesn't just vanish because you had one good week. Every single day is a fresh battle, a constant struggle against that urge. You wake up, and you start the fight all over again.

It doesn't make sense to me either. Honestly, it just shows how little people actually understand the situation and how many prejudices they carry. It is a complete lie that you need to be loaded to buy cocaine. Total bullshit.

Nathan Collins2 said:Cocaine addiction is primarily psychological. This means herbal remedies won't cut it; they only address the physical dependency, which is actually the easiest part to manage.

Precisely. I believe those plant derivatives Noah Sanders9 mentioned are typically used for weaning people off heroin, not cocaine. I read somewhere online—can't recall the exact source.

Try checking out www.recovery.org first. You can find firsthand accounts from former addicts there.

Take another look at what you just wrote..😲 Sure, someone making $667 a month could get hooked, but anyone can read between the lines here..🙄 Addiction usually implies a period of heavy, frequent use, doesn't it? 😉 And when we're talking about cocaine, maintaining that kind of habit requires a certain level of financial cushion!!

Jeffrey Long said:And in the case of cocaine, one assumes a certain level of financial stability.

Read back what you just wrote. Is it really any stranger to hear that addicts—even those hooked on cocaine—have such bizarre ways of chasing their fix? From obsessively coddling inanimate objects at home to playing favorites with others, the spectrum is wide. Then there’s the endless array of scams, not to mention the frequent setup where someone performs a trivial task only to be compensated in something as useless as a favor.

Look—you have to know how to get to love. It doesn't necessarily mean you need to be born into a dynasty like the Kraft family.

Man, do you have any idea how much a single gram of cocaine actually runs you? It’s not even about physical addiction; it’s purely psychological, just like 🙂 mentioned earlier. Of course, if someone reaches a certain level of dependency, you start seeing things like theft pop up, though honestly, that’s pretty rare with coke users compared to the chaos you see with heroin addicts. My point is specifically about that initial stage where you get hooked—to really get under the spell of cocaine, you need serious cash. End of story.
😵 Sure, you might run into an outlier who’s totally broke, but those cases are definitely the exception rather than the rule.

Jeffrey Long said:Good grief, do you actually have any idea what a gram of cocaine costs these days?

Five hundred? Is that all? $233Depending on how clean it actually is, you might find one for under $500, though I’d have serious doubts about its condition at that price. For the longest time, he kept the price pegged at around $150.

Jeffrey Long said:Cocaine isn't a drug that creates physical addiction; it’s psychological, just as someone else already pointed out. Naturally, once an addiction takes hold in the later stages, you start seeing things like theft. Though, let's be honest—that's incredibly rare with cocaine users compared to heroin addicts. I am talking about the initial phase of getting hooked. To get addicted to cocaine, you need massive amounts of cash. End of story. 🙂

Aside from that crowd of small-time contractors and those self-proclaimed "weekend warriors," there are others who actually put in the heavy lifting.
The point is, you don't exactly need a mountain of courage to get it over with. "Mentally," of course. You could pull it together in a month, depending on how unstable you already are.

It’s one thing to claim you’re "only using white"—but let’s be honest, most people are lying. You dig a little deeper and find something else entirely. Usually, it's just cheap crushed pills or speed, which is always cheaper. But more often than not, it’s heroin. That’s where the real trouble starts. Once they try to slow things down, that's when they truly get stuck.

If I were that Noah Sanders9's sibling, I’d start by running a lab test on his waste. Then we could see who’s actually telling the truth and what he’s really living on.

The ibogaine supplement—it’s derived from the iboga plant, and if I recall correctly, there’s plenty of info out there online about it if you want to dig deeper...
Good luck!

Gary Jones10 said:It's also worth noting that most people claiming they "only do coke" are lying through their teeth. You almost always find something else lurking under the surface—usually things like ketamine or cheaper speed. And more often than not, it’s horse, because that’s what people use to come down. Once they start trying to level out, that’s when they really get stuck in the mud.

Exactly. I have a friend who is hooked on dope, but it isn't just the powder. It’s the speed, the pills... if someone happens to be feeling generous with a little white stuff, then you've got alcohol poured on top in massive amounts. All in all, it's a total nightmare.😢

Unfortunately, I've seen clinical cases just like that.
If there's nothing available, they'll settle for some old aspirin; if there's an OxyContin lying around, they'll grab that too. And so it goes... from sunrise to sunset. 🙄

Gary Jones10 said:The reality is you don't even need much effort to get hooked—"mentally," obviously. You could be addicted within a month depending on how messed up your baseline is, or if you're just an inherently unstable person.

Exactly. Cocaine is "special" precisely because it's so damn easy to get addicted to. People say it only takes a few tries, which sounds unbelievable to me, but that's what addicts and experts in the field consistently claim. Someone put it perfectly: the pleasure ("volume") it creates is like comparing a single bar of chocolate to a massive oil tanker. If a person is mentally unstable, they will hook onto that feeling IMMEDIATELY. On the flip side, there are plenty of people who have tried it but stopped after a couple of times because they actually have stable heads on their shoulders.

As for those who aren't... well, it's a mess. The problem is way bigger than people realize and needs to be tackled from multiple angles.

Regarding ibogaine, I know some people who used it to kick heroin, but they ended up swinging to the absolute opposite extreme. First off, they didn't clear out all their other dependencies—the weed, the speed, the pills, and so on—and I can say with total certainty that they aren't quite themselves anymore. They went through with the ibogaine and left a part of their brain behind.😁
Honestly, in my opinion, ibogaine is really meant for people who have lost everything in life, are living on the streets, and are primarily stuck on heroin.

I’m looking for someone with some actual experience regarding this topic...

Based on what I’ve heard from friends and general word of mouth, does anyone know of a situation where a person tried cocaine just ONCE and then stayed on that "one-time" path indefinitely?
Just to be clear: we aren't talking about someone using it as an escape from reality or any of those typical excuses. This was purely out of curiosity—they just wanted to know what the sensation was like.

I would appreciate it if those who see this could treat the question with a bit of seriousness. 🙂

That sounds like typical dealer talk.
Never heard of a situation like yours.
