Arnold isn't just Conan because of how he looks; it's that voice too. Honestly, I can't even picture Conan speaking perfect English—I've always imagined him sounding like some guy from Austria, LOL. That’s why Arnold was the perfect choice, and Kickinger is probably the closest thing we'll get. Of course, nobody's going to offer him the role since he's a total unknown.

Plus, The Rock just doesn't have the look for Conan. Schwarzenegger looked like he stepped right off the comic book pages—both with his physique and that rugged face. He actually looked like Conan. The Rock? I don't know. His body is fine, but his face... not so much.

Between the era his stories take place (the Hyborian Age), the people he’s constantly fighting or meeting (basically Germanic tribes), his whole background (being a Cimmerian), and just how he looks (Though several later authors have referred to Conan as "Germanic-looking")... I mean, there's no way I can look at a guy built like that...

Yeah, several writers down the line basically reshaped the character to fit whatever vibe they were going for 😉

I don't care how much they changed him; to me, Conan sounds exactly like how Arnold sounded in the movie... that's the perfect version of Conan.👍

Conan the Barbarian, that absolute legend of an adventurer and warrior who doesn't know the meaning of fear.... 🙏 😁
