I'm not looking to get dragged into any pointless arguments about last night's US game... Honestly, the result wasn't even that bad, especially since I've been rambling all week about how it’d be a draw anyway.
Last night was absolute chaos:
Liechtenstein - Portugal 2:2 !!! 😲
And that's after the Portuguese were sitting pretty with a 2:0 lead!
The Italians lost to the Canadians thanks to a goal from Dynamo player Caesar, the Mexicans played to a 2:2 draw against the Dutch, the French went 0:0 with the Irish, and apparently some people think Nickname needs to be kicked to the curb. 🙄 Look, Nickname is a total godsend compared to Baric! 😁

Oh yeah, brightscout63 for President! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If we had only managed a draw against Liechtenstein, by this time tomorrow the entire country would be screaming "NickName out!" or "What a disgrace!" and so on...

Look, nobody gets an easy win these days. We proved that much playing against Sweden and Bulgaria. There aren't any easy rides anymore.

But something tells me we're going to get some serious payback against the Bulgarians in Sofia... just you wait...🙂

When I saw the lineup the Italians rolled out last night, I honestly wondered how they didn't lose by a couple goals to John. A squad like that might actually give Malta a run for their money. Lippi is desperate, and Trap is looking just as pathetic. 🙄

On the flip side, Brazil absolutely crushed it again. They went into Venezuela and put up a 5:2 scoreline. Ronaldo scored twice, Kaka got two, and Adriano added one. Is there even any real competition for them in 2006?

I have to agree with nimblemarlin17. These people are mentally unstable, and their voters cave too easily to public pressure from the media, which forces them to rely on various agitators who eventually ruin everything (like what Ortega did in France back in '98).
They're just as bad as their biggest rivals, the Americans.
