It’s definitely a solid movie, but I wouldn't call it spectacular. The action is top-tier, and there are a few great one-liners from Schwarzenegger, especially during that opening scene where he's lugging that massive log. My main gripe is that he feels a bit over the top in certain scenes—I can't quite put my finger on why, but it just felt off. There were a few things that rubbed me the wrong way throughout the runtime. Still, Rambo is better.

That's exactly the point. The movie is supposed to be over the top, raw, and naive. That's why it works so well.

The only guy worthy of being in The Matrix is Jack Bauer. He takes out about 24 people per episode... hmm... 24 people over 24 episodes per season... maybe 3 seasons total... you do the math.😁

As far as mindless action goes, sure, Commando and Rambo II and III are great flicks. But honestly? They’ll never top the more serious stuff like Die Hard and Terminator for me.

Die Hard and Terminator are actually aiming for serious action. Commando is just pure, mindless slaughter from start to finish. And honestly, that kind of thing only works that well because of the Governor.

One of the absolute best movies ever made. 🙏

Now, it’s true that John Matrix is just as lethal as a cobra—given all that heavy weaponry he carries around—but honestly, the deadliest thing about this movie is those one-liners 🙏

This might be the greatest action flick ever made... sure, it’s a bit over the top, but the movie was built for blowing off some steam, not for deep theorizing—I mean, he killed maybe 100 or 200 people in the film anyway...
