Yeah... this was one of those movies from my childhood. Just rewatched it after more than twenty years. I knew it wasn't going to be some massive cinematic masterpiece, but honestly, it didn't disappoint. It’s just solid fun—Marilyn Monroe looking incredible, and that forgotten Harry Nilsson track on the soundtrack...
Anyone else seen this? Also, while I was watching, I started picturing a modern remake directed by someone like Michael Moore. Instead of the old vibe, you'd have a Frenchwoman trying to smuggle a huge jar of pâté into the USA, but instead of that breezy 70s feel, it would be replaced by all this paranoia about terrorism and other modern bullshit. Could actually be a pretty decent flick.

Picture something directed by Michael Moore, where the protagonist is a Frenchwoman attempting to smuggle massive quantities of pâté into the USA. That breezy seventies vibe would be swapped out for modern anxieties like terrorism and all that other contemporary nonsense. It actually has potential.

Or what if someone from the South tries to sneak in some cured ham, artisanal cheese, and jugs of homemade wine?
Let's not forget the extra touches: bottles of olive oil in old moonshine jugs or cheap supermarket brandy containers, with the caps slightly crushed and everything wrapped up in old newspaper.🙏

Uh... I saw that one ages ago... totally forgot all about it. Not sure if it would even hold my interest today, but back then, it was a decent watch.
