Franz Schumacher(83) passed away last nightβ€”he was a resident of New York City.😁

With enough idiots hanging around here like Kataya at Williams, I guess we just have to deal with one more.

With idiots like Kataya driving for Williams, we just can't get enough of them.

Real classy. πŸ‘

Since when were you an expert on old Franz? Not sure why you're acting like his last name was actually Schumacher.😁

You're right. Maybe there isn't an H in this one.

In that case, I suppose this post doesn't really belong in this section of the forum... (not that it matters much anyway, but still...)

Actually, it does. Franz was basically the mechanic for those silver Mercedes models back in the fifties.πŸ‘‹

A buddy of mine ended up in a fender bender with some red subcompact driving on foreign plates... and when the cop shows up, he grabs the guy's license and shoves it right in his face... get this, the guy's last name is actually Schumacher! 😁

Well, at least the officer had an easy time filing the report. Since everyone knows Schumacher doesn't miss a beat, it was pretty obvious your friend was the one at fault.😁

Honestly, you find plenty of them over there. Even here in the States...

I actually noticed that myself... I haven't spent a huge amount of time looking into it, but from what I've gathered, even over in Switzerland, that surname isn't exactly rare either.😁

Carol Ortiz4 said:Yeah, I noticed the same thing... I wasn't there all that much, but when I did pay attention, it was clear even in Switzerland that having that last name carries some serious weight. 😁

Look, I headed over to Switzerland once to check out the Indy Motor Speedway, and wouldn't you know it? I ran into two Schumachers right then and there...

You mean Ralf and Michael?😁
