Do you think Formula 1 is going to take a massive hit once Max Mosley leaves? Personally, I think they will.

Is Formula 1 going to take a massive hit now that Max Mosley is out? Personally, I think they will.

Nah, that guy had nothing but disastrous ideas for changing Formula 1.
Thank Bog he's finally out.

He’s lost his mind. He actually wants to bring manual gearboxes back to the cars. Let him try shifting continuously for a 90-second stint—his arms would be dead for two days after that.👎 👎 👎

And what about that guy who claimed Formula 1 was getting boring?
Now you're actually mourning one of the main reasons why people felt that way?

Or maybe Michael Schumacher is the one to blame here.🙂

Or maybe it's Michael Schumacher's fault?🙂

Yeah, I said it. I think Michael Schumacher is the reason Formula 1 got so dull. You have to admit, Mosley & Bernie changed a ton of the rules just to try and make things interesting again.

Personally, I’m just not seeing how it actually became more interesting...

Yeah, they absolutely trashed qualifying. And that engine rule? They basically nuked the smaller teams with it. They killed off some legendary tracks, tried to force manual gearboxes back in, and were even planning to shrink the engines from 3.0 down to 2.4... total disaster. 😲 😠

Mr. Ex said:Yeah, they totally botched qualifying. With these engine regulations, they’ve basically gutted the smaller teams. They’ve scrapped some legendary tracks, almost tried to force manual gearboxes back in, and now they're talking about shrinking the engines from 3.0 down to 2.4...😲 😠

For God's sake.
Mr. Ex😁

Don't forget the new points system either... it turned the fight for first place into a joke...
Then there's the reduction in mechanical grip—which is exactly why we aren't seeing any overtaking...

There's an endless list of them...

Honestly, what have they actually done right? I can't think of a single thing...

Ivansa

Exactly, that's my point. I blame Michael Schumacher for making Formula 1 boring. Max Mosley & Bernie changed quite a few rules just to try and spice things up. You have to admit that.

It isn't his fault that he was the best. The only thing he could do to make people happy would be to stop winning... but then, is it even a sport anymore?
And please, let's skip the nonsense regarding Rossi...🙂

Can someone please just list one thing they've actually done to make the racing interesting?

And please, let's not descend into any nonsense regarding Russia🙂

Are you suggesting Ferrari might actually scale back, simply because they have the superior tactics and the fastest car on the grid?

The poll is going to settle this once and for all—it'll show who's actually at fault.

It won't work like that. Anyone who dislikes šuma will just blame him, but the fact remains: he's the best driver in Formula 1. Neither Montoya nor Fernando Alonso can touch him.

Charles Martin78 said:You think Ferrari might actually pull the plug? It’s probably for the best, honestly. Their strategy is all over the place and even when they have the fastest car, things just fall apart...

Yeah... I mean, look at how Rubens has been handled all these years. He's faster through the pits and keeps up in every single race, yet Ferrari just won't give him the edge. He's always stuck behind Michael Schumacher. I'm starting to get worried about where this is heading...

James Roberts87 said:They won't. People who just can't stand Michael Schumacher will always try to pin the blame on him, but at the end of the day, he’s still the best driver in Formula 1. Not even someone like Juan Pablo Montoya or Fernando Alonso can change that fact.

Actually, let me rephrase that... they won't be able to touch him unless they manage to get a car that's significantly better than what he's running.

Robin Fisher53 said:Correction... they won't get anywhere until they actually have a noticeably better car.

Then they might finally start closing the gap.😉

Robin Fisher53 said:Let me rephrase that... I really can't say anything definitive until they actually have a car that feels even remotely competitive...

Actually, let me correct myself there... I won't be making any judgments until they have a car that’s roughly on par with the rest of the grid... honestly, you're being a bit tedious about this now, man... even the FIA told you to tone it down, and at least they seem to be pulling for Michael, even if they could stand to be a little more realistic about it...
