Ralf ended up with a double spinal fracture—looks like his season is pretty much cooked.
Doctors are saying he’ll need about eight to twelve weeks to recover, but honestly, there’s no telling when he’ll actually get back in the cockpit.
Marc Gene is stepping in for him at the next race...

Man, tough break for Ralf...

Yeah...

There's actually a poll going on over at the NASCAR fan forums asking who people think will take the most wins this season... and Villeneuve is currently sitting pretty at 70%...
It feels like wearyraven41 has had way too much free time on his hands since he finished that big exam....

Sounds like wearyraven41 has way too much free time on his hands since he finished that exam....
🙂

I used to be convinced that the absolute worst thing you could face in a NASCAR crash was just a little jolt...

As for those polls... the second someone finds out there's a poll featuring Jacques on some random website, they blast it out on his fan page, and then everyone rushes over to dump their votes until he's leading by a mile.😁

Gene's driving in France. As for the other tracks, who knows?

As for those polls... once people realize there's a poll online featuring Jacques, they all flock to his page and start voting until he's sitting at the top of the leaderboard. It's predictable. 😁

Look, what are you complaining about? He’s fine. He's alive, he's walking... nothing happened.
Then you have these bullies over at Elizabeth Hughes claiming we need to slow things down... if they keep pushing this agenda, I might just stop watching NASCAR entirely once Schumacher retires.

I mean, what's the point of a race that feels like a bunch of turtles crawling along? I drive faster than that in my diesel truck on the interstate.
When I think about how much they're paying those officials... man, what a joke.

And another thing—everyone goes to vote... and then they go back and vote again... multiple times. 🙂

Ah.. 100 percent true.🙂

It was just bad. I knew right away something was off when he sat there in the car for so long without moving a muscle. 😢

He was just getting into his rhythm too....

And Gene... I mean, wasn't he in the top tier of drivers last season or maybe the one before that?

And then those cowards over at Elizabeth Hughes are out here bullying everyone, claiming we need to slow down the speeds... honestly, if they keep pushing this crap, I’m done watching NASCAR the second Schumy hangs it up...

They’re gonna drop the engine output from 3.0 to 2.4😲 😲 total bullshit, seriously f*** them😠

BTW, I feel for Ralf, but man, my guy is having an even worse run for sure...

Whether it’s with Ralf or without him, BMW has been well and truly past its prime for quite some time now.

On another note, I feel for Ralf, but hey, my guy's situation is looking even worse...

Anyway.

At this rate, they’ll probably switch to diesel next... and start using BMX-ic tires.

By the way, just saw this over on F1-live:

Ralf May Sue doctors AT Indianapolis is looking into legal action against the staff at Methodist Hospital after they apparently missed two broken vertebrae from that 190mph wreck.

His agent, Will Weber, mentioned that an American attorney is already digging into the case.

here's an even fresher one:
Sid Watkins—the neurosurgeon and official NASCAR doctor—didn't just tell Ralf to chill on the comeback, he was actually worried about his life if he went for it!
Ralf really needs to deal with the fallout from that massive concussion first—if he hits another accident before healing up, he could trigger second-impact syndrome, which is lethal for a young brain like his.

Ralf has confirmed he’s been in talks with Toyota, though I suspect they might be acting out of pure hesitation, perhaps fearing they'll pull the plug on him after everything that's gone down lately..

Meanwhile, Toyota already gave the green light that Ralf is their driver from 2005 through 2007.

So, word on the street is that Montoya didn't even bother calling his teammate to check if he was doing alright after the crash.

JPM: ''Maybe I'll get someone to send him a message. What would I say? DID IT HURT? I actually don't get on badly with him.''

Honestly, I’m not surprised at all given how much they hate each other.

He’s got a point... why bother putting on a charade and pretending there's any friendship there when there clearly isn't?
