Montoya turns down McLaren!

Juan Pablo Montoya isn't interested in joining McLaren.

One anonymous F1 owner let slip to The Wall Street Journal this past Saturday that the Colombian driver for BMW-Williams is actually looking for a way out of his deal to pilot that silver car in 2005.

Right now, McLaren is barely managing to stay relevant in the midfield.

Per that American newspaper, the camp representing the 28-year-old Montoya is already "exploring options with other teams" just as the latest round of driver rumors starts picking up steam.

To be fair, McLaren has been having a bit of a rough patch lately, barely managing to stay relevant in the midfield this season.

Honestly, nothing would make me happier than seeing Montoya head to a different team while McLaren finds its way back to the top of the podium... that would be absolutely wonderful! 😁

Montoya is lucky he didn't join the team this season while McLaren is struggling; he’ll be stepping into things next year when they are back on their winning streak.😁 By the way, that move he made on Michael in the tunnel was impressive—those Colombians are something else, they really live by that old-school "eye for an eye" mentality.👎

Rick Mears has always been a class act. If you're letting a driver walk, there’s no point in badmouthing them... unlike someone like David Richards.
