Headache help!

...could this be from sexual arousal?

For three mornings straight now, right after getting excited, I get this
brutal headache. It feels like my head is about to explode, starting from
my neck and moving up. The worst part is at the base of my skull.
I checked my blood pressure and it was 160/90, heart rate at 70.
Usually, I feel fine when I first wake up and get out of bed.
My normal BP is around 130/80. Male, 28, non-smoker.

What the hell is going on?

So, my dear old man has actually dealt with this a couple of times now—right after ejaculation, he gets hit with this absolutely brutal headache, specifically localized right in the temple area. It usually takes about 10 to 15 minutes for the intensity to finally subside.

Everything else came back totally normal, but nobody could figure out how that linked back to the pain in the back of my head... has anyone else gone through something similar? Oh, I forgot to mention—back then, it lasted for almost two months before it just vanished on its own...

Could be your cervical spine? Or maybe blood pressure? I actually dealt with a mix of both. My headaches dragged on for about a year. I also suffer from migraines, which used to make my face feel numb. All my tests were normal. Eventually, my doctor pointed toward my neck, and my blood pressure tends to fluctuate between high and low.

...Look, I'm against pain—tried just about everything under the sun—but honestly, Plivadon is the only thing that actually works for me...🙂

You'll usually see carbamazepine, which is an anti-epileptic, prescribed at a dose of two to three tablets daily until the pain starts to subside.

I get headaches all the time, but there were two instances where the pain was just unreal. It felt like my head was going to explode, like a literal bomb went off inside my skull. It’s a constant thing, but those two times really have me worried. If anyone knows what this could be, please help me out.

I don’t usually suffer from headaches very often, though I suppose I can get them if I catch a sudden draft or if I step out of an air-conditioned building into the sweltering heat outside. But lately, I've been dealing with this headache for three days straight now, and I honestly haven't the slightest clue what's causing it. It first started on Tuesday afternoon, and then on Wednesday, I actually woke up feeling quite refreshed and pain-free, only for it to come rushing back in the afternoon after I got worked up and ended up in tears—I deal with bouts of anxiety from time to time, and stress just tends to get the better of me🙂. Between that emotional pressure and all the crying, my head just started throbbing. Is it really possible that those things could trigger it? To make matters worse, even after a lovely, deep sleep last night, I've woken up this morning with my head already aching again. I'm just at a loss as to what this might be.😕

A few days ago, a translucent spot appeared in the upper right corner of my field of vision. It was flickering slightly, and as time passed, the spot grew larger and drifted toward the center until it basically bled out, blurring my sight. After about 20 minutes, the visual disturbances cleared up completely, but then I was hit with a headache centered right at the base of my skull. Even simple things like bending over became painful due to the pressure.
I’ve had this shimmering spot in my vision before, and usually, after about 15 minutes, everything returns to normal—I can go back to work and function just fine. This is the first time the headache has actually followed the visual episode...
Is this just some physiological quirk, or am I looking at something more serious?!

I’ve been dealing with this relentless headache for a week now, and it’s just getting worse. It’s paired with intense nausea, dizziness, and this total sense of disorientation—like I’m lost in time and space. Even when I try taking something, nothing works, from Tylenol to Advil. My temperature is hovering around 98.6, just slightly elevated, but not quite a fever. I even went in to test for the flu, but that came back negative. I have an EEG scheduled for tomorrow, though honestly, my previous tests—CT scans, neurology visits—have all come back perfectly fine, so I doubt they'll find anything new. These headaches are so debilitating that I can barely get out of bed. I have zero energy, zero focus, and I'm just sitting here crying because I don't know what else to do. Has anyone else dealt with something like this, or does anyone have any idea what might be happening?

Unfortunately... when I went through those symptoms... man, that headache was absolutely brutal. After they did a lumbar puncture, they found blood in my spinal fluid... a vessel in my brain had ruptured.

I really hope that isn't what you're dealing with... but yeah...

Did they give you Voltaren and Apaurin at the same time? Does that actually help take the edge off the pain?

I was on Voltaren and Normabel 5 for a while; it works well to calm things down and dial back the pain.

I didn't get any injections—just some pills that didn't do a damn thing for me. Ended up at the hospital today for an EEG, and the results weren't exactly great...
