This doesn't just apply to power lines and substations...

It’s been scientifically proven that 50 Hz current has a negative impact on human DNA...

If anyone's interested, I can post a quote and a link to the paper...

Alright, let's actually take a look at that scientific evidence...

It’s established that 50 Hz electromagnetic fields can trigger both double and single-strand DNA breaks in occasionally exposed human fibroblasts, suggesting potential genotoxic effects.
(ADLKOFER ET AL. 2002).

Translated from a dissertation at Munich University, 2004

But what about those studies on workers who spend their entire careers working in electrical substations and don't show any increased tumor rates compared to everyone else?

For those of you absolutely convinced this stuff is dangerous... just rip out the AC from your houses and switch to DC... it doesn't radiate.🙂

It just hit me—it’s actually pretty heavy thinking about how one of our buddies passed away from cancer in his forties... especially since he lived right next to a transformer station

In the natural science PDF, this topic has been chewed over a hundred times already. If you have questions, just go dig through their old threads.
