It's just that I don't actually have a credit card on hand, though I'd much prefer to just pay via cash on delivery if that's an option.😁

It's actually fine. That link is just for comparison... showing what's actually good and high-quality.

Give yourself a good, deep stretch and let out a few big yawns.
Then, spend about 15 minutes just gazing out the window at some peaceful scenery.

So, Buddha basically blessed me with a sweet little commuter bike—so for over a year now, I’ve been walking to and from work every single morning.
I just meditate while I’m on the move, which honestly feels amazing. Plus, instead of counting beads, I find myself checking out teenage girls' butts... which, hey, makes me feel even more liberated? Though, I guess it also kind of holds me back—how do I put this? It's just that women haven't quite reached that level of consciousness yet where a stranger's hand on their backside is seen as a compliment to their femininity.
I'm just living for that day. 👍

Nice one, man. You’ve got some really beautiful, genuine feelings there. Don't go hiding them now... just get out there and tell the people involved how you feel. Hope it goes well for you 😉

Like I'm gonna start popping up with new threads here tomorrow or something? Yeah, right. 🙂 😁 😁

Meditation is everything—the absolute foundation. 😉

I’m heading out now to catch some sun and just breathe for a bit. 😉

👍 Even the skeptics who used to make fun of this stuff seem to be catching the bug and wanting a taste.

Disclaimer: Since I started practicing, I've become way more aware of the issues that trigger my outbursts at work; it's harder to just tune everything out now, but it feels like the right direction, doesn't it?

Exactly. It forces you to face the actual root of the problem—and honestly, that's half the battle won right there. 🙂

Nah, you might just find you don't feel like starting any more threads on this board...

Sherry said:Can someone tell me where I can pick up a meditation DVD here in the States?

I need to know which shop and what address.

.... I'm not sure about DVDs, but you can find relaxing CDs and stuff like that over at Biserka Blašković’s place in Garfield, right near Brooklyn. I haven't bought anything myself, but I noticed she has plenty of books on the subject and other cool little items...😵

What kind of crazy meditation routine are you supposed to pull off while your husband is passed out next to you? Seriously? And you have to go hunting for stuff online just to get started
😲
If you want some actual deep relaxation, just hop on your big lion 👍 😁

A little bit of everything, really. 😳

But honestly, I’ve realized that since I started meditating like this, I’m actually way more neurotic and anxious than I ever gave myself credit for. Hopefully, all this practice will finally help settle my brain down 😢 🙂

By the way, since I started meditating, I’ve realized just how much of a neurotic, anxious mess I actually am. Hopefully, this practice helps.😢 🙂

It won't.👎

Your problem goes much deeper than that.

Come see me. I can help you.😁

So, who exactly did you decide to fixate on just so you could spend all your time hunting down Henry Wilson48?

I honestly don't get the whole multi-level marketing thing; I tend to speak my mind plainly, and beyond that, I have my own views. It’s perfectly obvious to me that she isn't a fan. 😢 🙂

Back to the topic for a second.
After nearly two months of feeling like I was sinking, I’m finally starting to breathe again.
I got my hands back on that CD I always use for my morning pranayama meditation... and honestly, I can't recommend it enough—AYURVEDA BUDDHA LOUNGE VOL. 1 😍 I know, sounds a bit commercial, but it’s perfect for morning pranayama—basically just getting your breathing rhythm right. It’s like you’re sitting by a riverbank, deep in the woods, or high up in the mountains... you just get pulled into it.
After ten minutes of pranayama, the relief is instant. All that weight that's been pressing down on me lately? It starts lifting. Everything feels lighter, clearer, and I actually feel some resolve again.

Spring and fall are really the best times for this kind of meditation. Your body isn't fighting the cold or the heat, so you can actually feel the prana much more easily and intensely.

Antar Mouna, learned from Swami Satyananda

The same page also includes a link to a full breakdown of Yoga Nidra, that relaxation technique by the same "author"
All I can say is 👍
