I’d be just as blindsided as anyone else if they actually greenlit Alien 5, especially considering how recently we all sat through that entire Quadrilogy. It honestly feels like a lot to process right now.

Richard Hernandez13 said:Ridley Scott mentioned that he’d actually be open to directing an Alien 4, provided someone could come along and write a decent script.

I guess you mean the fifth one, right?

Personally, I'm looking forward to this movie. Aliens is one of my all-time favorites (watched it at least 50 times), and the first Predator is one of Schwarzenegger's best (seen it at least 20 times).

I played the game too, you jerk. If the movie is anything like the game, there’s going to be blood everywhere—tons of green, tons of red, and plenty of dead Alien scum.😁

Yup.
Thanks for the corrections!

Regarding everything to do with AvP.... 😁 Honestly, I just can't bring myself to care about him one bit.

I was just reading that the movie didn't even have any special critic screenings—which, honestly, can only mean one thing.

As for the first Predator, that remains one of Schwarzenegger's finest works; I can't say I haven't watched it at least 20 times myself.

I played the game, you absolute brute. If the movie stays true to the game, there’s going to be blood everywhere—tons of it. We're talking green, red, and a massive pile of dead Alien scum.😁

My deepest condolences...

The movie isn't quite as terrible as people make it out to be. I'll admit it could have been better, and my expectations were certainly higher, but it is what it is. Here are a few screenshots I took myself:

Do you see this scene with the pyramids? It feels so incredibly superficial and lacks any real substance; I honestly get the impression the director was just trying to manufacture a second Stargate...
Sadly, none of that worked out, and it's such a shame that John McTiernan didn't direct the movie.

I finally sat down and watched it, and I have to say, it wasn't half bad!

Personally, I think the movie is totally fine. The concept is decent and the visuals look incredible. It’s a bit of a shame they went with a Black woman as the hero instead of Arnold, but what can you do? You have to be politically correct these days. 😁

Unfortunately, it’s a real shame that John McTiernan didn't direct it.

Honestly, it probably would have been better if he hadn't directed Stargate, because that movie was a total wash.

Actually, I think there might be a little mix-up here—it wasn't actually John McTiernan who directed Stargate; that was Emerich who helmed the film.
I believe that John McTiernan actually directed the first Predator.

McTiernan actually directed the original Predator.

What are you getting at?
I'm simply offering a thought on what you wrote.

I found the movie perfectly okay too 😁... and she’s likely the lead because even in the first AvP book, "Prey," the main character is a female (Japanese woman)

The end is coming, man. When they finally drop that little Alien with those Predator traits, just imagine how absolutely lethal that thing is gonna be 😉

What are you guys even talking about? Honestly, that movie was total garbage.
Man, if they actually turned this into a video game, it would be such a trip... I mean, it might be a little lame, but honestly? It would be pretty fun.
So, what actually happened there? It’s like, the Predators are this entire race that basically descended upon Earth and gifted humanity with civilization itself—we're talking about temples where they go toe-to-toe with Aliens! And then you have these three guys who just wander into the fray without even bothering to bring guns? Seriously, how does that work? They’re trekking thousands of feet under the ice to explore some ancient temple buried for millennia, and they're doing it all without any firepower? Does that even make sense to anyone else?
And then there’s those Predators that just show up and go through the motions like they're checking items off a grocery list, you know? But then you get that one guy who actually turns out to be a total legend, even if he ends up getting totally pumped up and over-the-top by the end of it.
And then you’ve got that one scientist, right? The one who somehow ends up with her whole world turned upside down while she's out there trying to square off against those damn lizards...
Look, I mean, maybe only an idiot would say that, but honestly? Even someone like me—just a regular guy who doesn't know much—can see that some things are just handled better by people with a bit more grit, you know?
