The movie is just a mess within The Matrix.
Pure garbage.

I’ll tip my hat to the special effects, I suppose, but they can’t make this film timeless for me or anyone else.
So, here’s the deal: it failed because it's just a pile of revolutionary crap stacked on top of more crap—it's basically a disaster waiting to happen.👎 😁
And what’s even worse is how much it actually fails.
But the absolute worst part? There are people out there actually sighing in admiration over it.😛

So, I finally picked up my DivX Matrix today. Honestly, I heard the quality was absolute trash, but I figured I had to see it just to wrap the whole thing up. So, I popped the disc into my PC and let's go. Turns out, the movie was ripped so poorly it looked like garbage. Whatever, though—I can deal with that. But then, about ten minutes in, two American guys (probably the ones who actually filmed the thing, right?) start talking through the whole movie. Seriously, who goes to a theater to talk? I managed to swallow my pride and ignore them, but then, after half an hour, they start rustling their snack bags like crazy. If I’d been sitting closer to them, they would have seen both the bags and heard the chatter, but since I wasn't right on top of them, I survived. But right when Neo was about to absolutely wreck Mr. Smith, one of them stands up to go to the bathroom. That was it—I lost it. I am not letting some random Americans ruin this for me, so I’m just going to wait for the DVD instead. If anyone else has had a similarly annoying experience, feel free to share it with the group. Anyway, bye.

I had almost the exact same bullshit happen to me... just two guys sitting there, and whenever something "funny" happens, they absolutely lose their minds—and of course, someone always catches it on video.... man, when Neo finally goes to kiss Trinity, you should have seen how worked up they got.... absolute madness.

An irritating experience???
The entire movie is one giant, irritating experience.
I absolutely love The Matrix 1, 🙏 🙏 🙏 I even own the original DVDs at home 😁

The Matrix II isn't anywhere near the first one, though it's perfectly watchable—and let's be honest, Smith Rula is actually decent

As for the third part 🤮 🙂
What a complete idiot. What a disaster and a total waste of time.
Pure, nauseating sentimentality. I'm honestly speechless at what a piece of TRASH this was.
Do you realize how many hours they spent turning even Smith into just another boring moron? 😢
The Wachowski brothers completely lost their way. They totally lost it.
Looking back, maybe it would have been better if there was just the first film and nothing else.

I mean, how can someone write and film such GARBAGE as the third installment?
It's shameful. 👎

Matrix II isn't even in the same ballpark as the first one, but hey, it's watchable—and Agent Smith, man, Smith RULA

The third part 🤮 🙂
What an absolute moron move. What a disaster and a complete waste of time.
Just pure, nauseating pathos. Honestly, I don't even have the words for how much TRASH this is.
Do you realize how many hours we wasted watching them turn Smith into just another boring, regular idiot? 😢
The Wachowski brothers totally lost the plot. Totally lost it.
Looking back—honestly, it probably would’ve been better if they just left it at the first movie and called it a day.

I mean—how does someone actually write and film something as much of a pile of GARBAGE as the third installment?
It's embarrassing. 👎

Look, I'll admit it—The Matrix 1 is the gold standard, a total masterpiece, and while the other two aren't great, they aren't quite *that* much of a dumpster fire...

They really are. Here is the definitive evidence:

1) Not enough Monica Bellucci
2) Agent Smith laughs with a giant MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAHA!
3) Not enough Monica Bellucci
4) Ridiculous, circular dialogue along the lines of
"You must find the truth."
"And what is the truth?"
"It is the path."
"And where is the path?"
"Within the truth."
5) Not enough Monica Bellucci
6) Keanu Reeves' bare backside
7) Not enough Monica Bellucci
8) Morpheus slicing a car with a katana
9) Not enough Monica Bellucci

All jokes aside, the third installment actually outshines the second, primarily because it prioritizes action over endless philosophizing, and thank God for that. Even so, both sequels feel miles below the original; they strike me as somewhat unnecessary, clumsy additions to the story established in the first film.

It's a shame, given all the potential...

I ended up seeing The Matrix Revolutions in the theater, and honestly, it was only because a buddy wouldn't shut up about it until we went. So yeah, I sat through two hours of pure torture... that movie, and Reloaded, are officially off my list forever. Total garbage. Period. Even if someone had been talking or making noise in the theater, I wouldn't have cared—the movies themselves are just incredibly dull and exhausting. They showed the first Matrix on TV recently, so I probably won't be revisiting that one for at least another 5 or 10 years. I really don't get why there was such a massive hype train surrounding the whole Matrix saga... 😕

Well... I have already touched upon this subject before, but let me summarize my thoughts briefly. The first installment is a masterpiece, the second is passable at best, and the third is absolute garbage.

To be fair, the third film actually boasts the strongest opening of the trilogy, matching the quality of the first part in terms of both intrigue and mysticism. Beyond that initial hook, however, the rest is largely rubbish, cluttered with an excessive amount of cheap one-liners.

If they had been smarter, they could have simply excised the first ten minutes, the fifteen-minute battle sequence, and the final ten minutes of Part III, then seamlessly grafted all of those segments onto the second film. That would have resulted in a truly great cinematic experience.

Hmm... can we please just move on from the endless debates about Captain Mifune and that whole charge by the Zion cavalry...😉

The Matrix Revolutions

Ugh, I don't know what compelled me to reread this, but I'm annoyed all over again.🙄 👎

It's not your fault if you actually think The Matrix Revolutions is a good movie. 🙂

Setting that aside, it’s a good movie—or a bad one, depending on how you look at it.

What really gets under my skin is reading posts where people act like they’re geniuses, when in reality, they haven't even grasped the plot. Maybe a few people caught half of it. But if I managed to wrap my head around the whole thing, it implies you don't need some massive IQ to get it.🙂

You just have to actually pay attention (unlike some people who sleep through half the runtime and then try to act all cool about it 🙂). My advice? Watch The Animatrix first, or at least watch it between the first and second films before moving on.🙄

Or, if you're really feeling indecisive, maybe just watch it somewhere between the first movie and the second one before moving on. 🙄

It’s wrong. You really need to watch The Animatrix first, and then you'll see—there isn't much else to it.

After watching Reloaded a few times now, I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s actually a really solid movie. It might be too long—actually, it definitely is—but if you’re paying attention, it’s incredibly engaging. I’ve only sat through Revolutions once, and honestly, it was kind of a letdown. Personally, I would’ve focused more on the story happening up on Earth, but I guess that wasn't how the directors saw it...

Honestly, there are so many intricate connections and overlapping themes woven through all three films that you won't even notice them at first glance. Even after one or two viewings, they stay hidden; to catch all the nuances, you really have to sit through the entire trilogy and then rewatch it all over again. I don't think any other series or film franchise has ever offered that kind of depth 🤔
.
And that’s exactly where most people trip up: they watch superficially, without any real interest, and then complain that it isn't good. I’m not claiming it has to be everyone's favorite movie, but it’s unrealistic to expect the second and third installments to create the same massive impact as the first. You can't recreate that initial sense of shock—it just can't be done, at least not in that same way. Of course, I agree with a lot of people that they feel stretched out—every single one of them could probably be trimmed by thirty to sixty minutes without losing a shred of essential plot. But hey, if they were actually perfect, it wouldn't matter anyway; as they say, when you're looking for flaws, everything becomes an issue 😎
.
Melissa Moore32, The Animatrix alone isn't enough; it just rounds out the story, providing context and filling in some of those narrative gaps left by the main films 🙂

Douglas Phillips4> Melissa Moore32, look, The Animatrix isn't enough on its own. It’s just there to round out the story, providing some intro and filling in a few gaps left by the main movie.

I honestly thought you should just watch The Animatrix right after The Matrix 1 and then pretty much forget about everything else.

I haven't actually sat down to watch them myself, but I've heard the same thing as everyone else—that they’re total garbage. So, honestly, I have no idea if I’ll ever bother getting around to them.

When I first watched The Matrix 1, I genuinely thought it was one of the greatest films I'd ever seen—it really stuck with me for a long time. But then I saw Blade Runner and realized how much I actually didn't know. After watching Ghost in the Shell, it hit me: the entire Matrix concept feels like a total rip-off. Anyone who has actually seen Ghost in the Shell knows exactly what I'm talking about. I ended up watching the other two just out of curiosity, and honestly? A complete waste of time. The whole dynamic between Trinity and Neo is such a tired American cliché—it’s predictable from the very first movie that they'd end up together. So, yeah, that's my take on The Matrix. 👎

And since we're on the subject of The Matrix, I have to mention Terminator 3—which, in my opinion, is absolutely atrocious. Now, Terminator 2 was my absolute favorite movie when I was eight years old, but looking back, if I'd been able to watch Terminator 3 at that age, I probably would've loved it too! That just goes to show you exactly how low the bar is for T3. 😂

I watched Ghost in the Shell, and honestly, I don't see what was copied here, other than the general concept of an artificial intelligence gaining self-awareness. 😕

And while we're at it, someone please explain Blade Runner to me—what exactly was stolen or ripped off? What makes it a plagiarism?
