Come on, let me say, tell me exactly how the second one beats the fourth... When you actually look at the cast in the second film, it's mostly just Cameron's favorites, and their acting isn't even that great to begin with; that little girl had more talent than those macho soldiers they threw in there. But then you look at the fourth installment and we have Winona 👍, plus the rest of the cast is significantly better than anyone in the second one. The only real issue with the fourth is that the plot feels a bit forced, but it still delivers some legendary moments, like that scene in the water 👍. The movie isn't bad at all, really 🙏

And who exactly is claiming that Aliens is a good movie?

A whole squad of American Marines, possessing an IQ barely higher than room temperature, running around playing soldier.

The only redeeming quality of that film is the android doctor.

Look, everyone’s got their own reasons for loving or hating a movie...
Pick a side between the second or third installment if you want, but honestly? Four just feels like some cheap TV series recycling a tired trope in the worst way possible. It didn't bring anything new to the franchise, whether you're looking at the direction or the script. The characters are just walking stereotypes—you've got the one white guy, the one tough Black guy, and so on—and there's zero tension.
As for the acting, most of them aren't even essential to the plot. You really only have one lead actress and one lead actor driving things.
Sure, Winona is cute, but that's beside the point.

Look, if you ask me, the second one is the best Sci-Fi movie ever made—it's the perfect follow-up to the original! Sure, the third one feels way too claustrophobic, but hey, that's kind of the whole point of the movie, and it still holds up. As for Alien Resurrection, it isn't exactly a masterpiece, but the solid cast basically carries the whole thing and gives the series a decent enough send-off.

Come on, guys... let's be reasonable. All Four Alien films have their own merits. The first one basically pioneered the Sci-Fi Horror genre with that suffocating, claustrophobic vibe, while Aliens is essentially the gold standard for sci-fi action. Every single entry features an excellent cast (though maybe Aliens is a tiny bit thinner there), and I wouldn't dare label any of them as bad movies.

I've sat through so much sci-fi garbage over the years that it's actually hard to pick a definitive winner for the worst, but out of everything I've seen lately, "The Eliminators" takes the cake. It was airing on ABC (which, honestly, tells you everything you need to know).

If Aliens is supposed to be the mother of all Sci-Fi action movies, then her children turned out to be massive disappointments.

I mean, I was practically nodding off halfway through that film. It was boring as hell. There wasn't a single moment of genuine excitement or tension to be found....
