Daniel Martin72 said:I went to the premiere last night and honestly? It was awful. There wasn't a single intelligent thought in the whole movieโ€”just nonstop action and those cringey, dumb American jokes.

Even if the movie isn't totally garbage...

I actually wanted to ask something. If they're going to bring up astrology in a film, why is the villain always a Scorpio?

1. Are Scorpios just born to be the bad guys?
2. Does it make people feel less important when they're compared to Scorpios?
3. Are all the other signs getting cheated out of their turn because they can't pull off being villains?

Man, those are some deep questions...

๐Ÿ˜•

I'm a Sagittarius, but let me tell youโ€”I'm pretty sure I'd be a way bigger villain than any Scorpio out there.

Count me in on this one. Honestly, did you guys hear they actually had a dedicated coordinator just for the butt scenes? I mean, that pretty much tells you everything you need to know about the quality of this movie.

I didn't even catch the first one, and goodness knows Iโ€™m definitely skipping the sequel.

You mean the one working over at Crazy Horse? ๐Ÿ˜‰

๐Ÿ™‚ Scorpion, sure, but heโ€™s just not smart enough to actually go out and watch CA. Like, ever. Just not that bright.

---

Honestly, this whole thread would be way better if we just called it: "CA2. Is American stupidity hitting a new peak?"

I mean, even though we live in this big "democratic" society, everyone should have the right to watch whatever they want. Even CA2.

Which is why sometimes I feel kind of bummed out living in a place like this...

Peace out!

Honestly, the movie was a total snooze fest.

You basically have to leave your brain at the door if you want to actually enjoy the action sequencesโ€”and letโ€™s be real, thatโ€™s pretty much the only part of the whole thing that works. I mean, don't get me wrong, John Cleese is always a legend, and Bruce Willis was solid whenever he actually showed up on screen. But the humor? Man, it is incredibly lowbrow. Itโ€™s so cheap and tacky that sometimes you almost miss it because you can't believe someone would actually stoop *that* low. And don't even get me started on the actressesโ€”it wasn't just that they weren't great, but they were trying way too hard to be sexy and clearly thought they were pulling it off. The only one who actually had some style was Lucy Liu, but even Demi Moore looked so lost and confused it was honestly painful to watch.

Actually, looking back, it wasn't a complete disaster.

I managed to switch my brain off (huge heads-up on that, by the way), and it ended up being kind of fun. Though, probably not for the reasons the director intended.

Man, am I being harsh. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

You can say whatever you want, but letโ€™s be realโ€”Cameron has an incredible body. Seriously, her curves are just ๐Ÿ‘

Did you guys know that while they were filming, the three of them actually had a dedicated crew on set? Their whole job was teaching them how to work their assets and making sure everything looked just as perfect as it does in the movies

Once you've finally sat down and watched The Matrix (honestly, any of them), you start to realize that pretty much every single character could pass for Keith Richards... I mean, seriously! And honestly? There isn't anything a PC running Linux with a solid toolset can't handle. It's basically unstoppable. To be totally real with you, I don't really care if I'm obsessing over one of those characters or someone like Lara Croft (yum, yum ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜› )

What? What does The Matrix have to do with Linux or Cameron Diaz?

Or are you just one of those people who feels the need to drop their favorite movie in every single post? ๐Ÿ˜

Am I really that smart? Even without seeing them, I already know both movies are absolute garbage. Not once did I feel even the slightest urge to watch them.๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜Ž

btw - total trash. Does that count?

Iโ€™ll root for Lucy Liu anytime, anywhere, but I wouldn't watch this movie if a comet hit me in the faceโ€”I just can't deal with such nonsense. ๐Ÿคฎ

Honestly, they should just film something gritty and raw featuring Lucy (kind of like a gritty American soap opera) that actually lets her shine. I think she's incredible. As for the other two, Drew has always been known as a total Hollywood Star ๐Ÿ™„, and Cameron looks like an unplowed field without any makeup on. ๐Ÿ˜•

That's why Lucy rocks, though I still can't bring myself to sit through garbage like this.

I'm a Scorpio myself, and I guess you need tons of temperament to play a villain; you have to be selfish and have plenty of confidence, which is why I'm a Scorpio.

I was just saying that special effects can turn basically anyone into Lucy Liu... even if everyone keeps quiet about it. I guess. ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜‰

I was just sitting there watching this movie...

Honestly, I feel like they went way overboard with all those The Matrix style action sequences; thereโ€™s just so much nonsense in there that itโ€™s hard to believe, especially when you see Demi Moore playing Batmanโ€”itโ€™s practically legendary how bad that is.

By the way, for those of you who actually sat through the whole thing, did anyone else get totally confused by that one skinny guy? They spend like fifteen minutes talking him up, then he barely shows up in two scenes before suddenly dying??? Like, what was even the point of that??

Iโ€™ve always been against movies that require me to buy tickets for two seats:
one for myself
and one for my brain...
...honestly, if I'm in the mood for some crazy lady with a sense of humor, I'll just hire an escort instead.

I caught it yesterday. Didn't plan to, but I was at the theater with friends. Never saw the first one, so I had no idea what to expect. Honestly, it actually cheered me up. Wouldn't sit through it again, but it was decent entertainment. It felt less like a movie and more like one long music video...
It suited my mood perfectly. ๐Ÿ™‚

Yeah, tell me about it... the movie is absolute garbage. I feel like I wasted my money on tickets.
It was basically a fairy tale for toddlers.
