Honestly, nothing beats a cold Cola. It’s just perfection.

velvetwolf92, are you going to heat up the Diet Coke? I really hope you don't drink more than an 8-ounce serving, because drinking warm Diet Coke usually leads to an upset stomach. Personally, I have it pretty regularly, but I always keep it ice cold—though I do give it a little stir to let some of the carbonation out.

I’m basically a total addict when it comes to Cola—honestly, my teeth are probably the only thing I have left in one piece... check this out: 😁

Honestly, I couldn't care less, but since I've already heard this song and dance a thousand times, I might as well weigh in.

I don't touch Cola; it's just not my thing. I'd much rather grab a Coca-Cola. 😁

And Coca-Cola isn't carbonated and doesn't have sugar, right?😁

Personally, I find it tastes better than regular Cola, even though I’ve always had pretty good teeth, thank Bob. Plus, if I ever did run into trouble, my dental care is covered by my insurance. 😁

Sure, I get it—Coca-Cola is a decent soda, and since it doesn't have caffeine, people call it "healthier" than Coke. But it’s still a nightmare for your teeth.😁

loneowl45 said:Look, I’m definitely not trying to be anti-consumerist here, and this isn't even a political rant—it's purely about health. My mother actually just gave me an earful about how dentists have discovered that almost all carbonated drinks, aside from sparkling mineral water (which they aren't even 100% sure about yet), absolutely wreck your enamel and contribute to periodontal disease.

So, basically, if you want to avoid having a smile 😬 skip the soda.

I'm still holding out hope that I'll get my ticket to the White House 🙂
not to mention it doesn't just attack your teeth; it also leaches calcium, which can weaken your bones, and it irritates the stomach lining, potentially leading to ulcers (especially for anyone dealing with gastritis).

If you wreck your liver, your estrogen levels will spike, so don't be surprised if you start developing breasts or extra weight around your hips.👍

Honestly, that sounds like total nonsense to me. I drink beer in massive quantities all the time, and I haven't noticed any changes to my chest or anything like that.

Does anyone happen to have more comprehensive details regarding this specific situation?

I find myself part of the demographic that is essentially fueled by Cola—whether it's just a plain Cola, Cola paired with chocolate, or even that odd combination of Cola mixed into wine, and so on. The mere thought of having to stop consuming my favorite beverage brings about a sense of mild frustration. 😁

Is there a genuine possibility that we'll be deprived of those sweet gummy polar bears and the free half-liter Christmas promos 😁?

On a side note, what exactly is happening with the rest of the lineup from The Coca-Cola Company?!

Look, if Coca-Cola were actually as toxic and useless as people claim, they wouldn't be guarding that recipe like it’s the Holy Grail, it wouldn't be the most iconic drink on the planet, and they certainly wouldn't have launched a million different versions that all somehow find a way to sell.

Long live Coca-Cola!

Is this some kind of political commentary 😁?
Are people actually afraid to drink a Cola now that there’s news about harmful ingredients, or are you all still sipping away regardless?
I mean, why would anyone even put pesticides in a beverage in the first place? What is the actual purpose behind that? Does it somehow enhance the flavor profile or something? I honestly haven't a clue... please, walk me through it. 😉

My philosophy is simple: if you’re going to ruin your health anyway, you might as well do it with some quality—and choosing Cola ensures you're doing it right 😵

Useless? 🤣
And Cola is somehow "useful"? What exactly is Coca-Cola good for, please? Tell me.

By the way, regarding all this "harmful" crap... just look at how many McDonald's are all over the country. If it were truly harmful and useless—if we're talking about fries soaked in oil that's been reused countless times until it reeks halfway through the restaurant, or those tiny little pastries that look so plastic you'd think Mattel manufactured them, or those PVC-looking salads—then McDonald's definitely wouldn't be everywhere, and parents wouldn't be dragging their kids there for lunch every single day.

I drink Cola by the gallon and, honestly, I couldn't care less. At least the worms will have a feast when I finally kick the bucket.😬

Trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle these days feels like a losing battle, mostly because everything around us seems tainted—even the stuff labeled as "organic" or "wholesome." So, if we only get one shot at this life, I say we might as well enjoy it by sipping on some Cola...

As for those of you obsessed with living the perfect, healthy life, feel free to keep kidding yourselves; you clearly haven't a clue about the absolute junk you're actually consuming.

I actually know this one doctor who mentioned how Coca-Cola can be helpful for certain digestive issues and stuff, and I even heard that some hospitals over in Germany might give patients Coca-Cola to help with diarrhea. So, I mean, it’s definitely not totally useless.
Honestly, I am a total Coca-Cola addict. I've tried to quit, but man, it's tough. I can maybe make it about a week without it, but then it gets really hard.
And look, I don't really care if it's bad for you. Everyone dies from something eventually, right? If it happens, I might as well go out happy!

Is Cola actually good for you? Seriously, what on earth is Coca-Cola supposed to be "useful" for?

By the way, if we're talking about junk food... just look at how many McDonald's locations there are all over the country. If deep-fried fries cooked in oil that's been reused through god-knows-how-many servings—oil that smells like it's been sitting out since the Reagan administration—were truly useless and harmful, along with those tiny little pastries that look more like Mattel toys than actual food, or those plastic-wrapped salads, then McDonald's wouldn't exist. People wouldn't be dragging their kids there for lunch every weekend.

Maybe you didn't quite catch my point... 😕
I guarantee you the executives at McDonald's and Coca-Cola don't share that sentiment. If some Coca-Cola hater actually landed a job there, they'd change their tune real fast. I even heard about someone who was absolutely thrilled when she landed an internship at Coca-Cola.
It's the exact same story with tobacco. It's rare to find a tobacco manufacturer that isn't running a solid business; most are at least doing okay.
There are a million other products out there bringing in massive piles of cash for these corporations.

That’s why it’s "useful." Personally, I rarely drink Cola unless it happens to be right in front of me. I usually stick to bamboo tea, but that's not really my thing. I prefer a cocktail. 😁

If people stopped drinking Cola, they'd just find some other sugary soda to obsess over instead..
So, I guess some other drink would just end up being the new 'healthy' choice, if you can even call it that.

Do people actually change their minds about Coca-Cola once they get hired by the company? Probably... I mean, otherwise they'd just get fired, right?

Well, then you shouldn't worry at all. Aspartame, among other things, messes with your cognitive functions. I guess being in the advanced stages of Alzheimer's by age 35 definitely has its perks. Seems like a win for you.

There’s nothing quite like washing down a heavy meal with a cold Cola—it feels like you’re jumpstarting your metabolism, as if everything just magically moves along.

In my view, the real nightmare with Cola and those similar sodas is benzene, which is easily one of the most toxic substances a human body can encounter. The FDA has actually known for about 15 years now that when you mix benzoate (a preservative) with ascorbic acid—both of which are staples in Cola—you end up creating benzene. This effect is even more pronounced in Diet Coke varieties where they start mixing in aspartame.

But let's be honest, there’s another depressing layer to this whole thing: it’s all about the bottom line. We old-timers might still think we're the smartest people in the room because we haven't received a terminal diagnosis yet, but it is truly staggering how little it costs to poison children. You have massive numbers of kids out there regularly gulping down, on average, half a liter every single day...

I am of the opinion that the most significant issue regarding Cola and similar beverages is benzene.

Wait, if I have gathered the facts correctly, benzene is a known factor, yet Cola remains on the shelves; however, that seems unrelated to pesticides, which aren't definitively proven, and perhaps that is why they face boycotts globally?!!

On a different note... whenever I sit down to a pizza, I absolutely must have a Cola, otherwise I find it nearly impossible to finish the whole thing. 😁 It is almost as if the Cola dissolves those initial slices I consume, effectively clearing space for the rest. 😬 It is a thoroughly tested phenomenon!!
