I find Laura quite charming... My favorite part is when her dad passes away and that other guy (I can't even remember his name... haha) starts singing something like: "that night when Laura's dad died, what a night it was, an angina is a nasty thing"... or something along those lines, and then Cusack starts beating him up... I was absolutely dying laughing....

That movie is honestly one of the heavy hitters, easily one of the best ever.

But honestly, "The Wreck" by Edmund Fitzgerald would have been such a killer suggestion! 👍

The funniest part is at the end when Jack Black goes:👋"we're on the verge of changing our name to Barry Jive and the uptown five, but tonight we're Kathleen Turner Overdrive."
Where does he even come up with these names??

2. The second best bit is when the bald guy (can't remember his name) mentions he's got a date with Anna, and the other dude just hits him with: "what's a reasonable explanation for something like that??"

Exactly that... I have just as much love for the movie About a Boy, even if Hugh Grant is the one starring in it. 😁So, we have the book (which was written by Nick Hornby, right?) and then the movie. Honestly, that High Fidelity shop feels like a total pipe dream compared to how much better the book is. Still... you can't deny the charm of John Cusack. 😍 😍

You really should pick up 'How to Be Good' by Nick Hornby. The book is fantastic—just a total blast. The only one that didn't quite land for me was 'Fever Pitch.' Man, I could go on about him forever... sorry everyone!

Personally, I think High Fidelity is a great film and one of the best book adaptations out there. I read the book first and loved it, and the movie didn't disappoint me one bit.
