Did you go in expecting something like Magnolia or a straight romance? To me, this felt more like a slightly twisted take on a love story...

I wasn't even expecting much, honestly. I just downloaded it because Adam Sandler was in it, so I figured I’d give it a shot and see what the deal was. I actually sat through it twice, but yeah... just isn't really my kind of movie.

So you picked it up thinking it would be a comedy along the lines of Waterboy or Happy Gilmore?

Honestly, he's great at it. I think the guy gets way too little credit as both an actor and a comedian...

I can't really speak to his comedy. I haven't caught his stand-up or his work on SNL. My main issue is that for every brilliant drama he does, he seems to film five or six mediocre comedies...

Same here... I've mostly just stuck to his movies. Not all his comedies are absolute gold, but he’s always been solid for me... feels real...

To be honest, the only comedy I truly respect is Wedding Singer. The rest aren't really my style... though I have to admit, I haven't sat through his last two, like Happy Gilmore or I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Dave.

I heard Zohan might actually be his best work yet, but who knows... I haven't sat through it. As for the classics, my top picks have to be "The Wedding Singer", "Big Daddy", "Punch-Drunk Love", "Mr. Deeds", "Anger Management", "First Dates"👍, and "The Longest Yard"🤣.
"Now You See Me" is alright too... just doesn't hit quite as hard as those others
