I’d probably throw a few more tropes into the mix...

-every single performance or concert lasts like 2 minutes—just enough time to gossip with your date in the background...
-animals are always there at the exact right moment to save the day, even if they spent the whole movie hiding under the couch
-all the teenagers are somehow gorgeous and look like they're 25?!?!
-kids always look way older than they are (like, a 3-year-old playing a 7-year-old)
-the best strategy during a total crisis is just to scream and stay perfectly still
-during a chase, you always run UP the stairs!!!! 😲 or into dead ends where you eventually just stop and wait for the killer to find you
-parents never have time for their kids until the very end of the movie, when suddenly all their life obligations just magically align... out of nowhere!
-that weirdly bright lighting in rooms that clearly have zero light sources...
-how in horror movies everyone hears a tiny rustle and immediately grabs a knife, even if they were living totally normal lives five seconds ago...
-you always try the wrong keys first, and right as the thing chasing you manages to jam a limb through the door, you finally get it open just enough to shove them back out and slam it shut
-breakfast usually takes about one minute, or however long the dialogue lasts
-English is basically the universal language—doesn't matter where you're from, everyone speaks it like it's their native tongue and there's never any communication issues!
-it's totally normal to dance in the middle of the street or scream your head off and nobody even blinks...

If I think of anything else....
Anyway, I was using a little help from Cheerleader to jog my memory, so if you notice any similarities... tell her I'm still bitter about our rights... 😢

Honestly, this reminds me of those ridiculous commercials where the mom has a ten-year-old kid, but she looks like she’s barely twenty herself.
It's just creepy...🤣

- One guy shooting at twenty people has a much better shot at killing them than twenty people shooting at one guy.
- Kitchens don't have light switches. If you walk in at night, just open the fridge and use that light instead.
- It doesn't matter if you're outnumbered in a fight involving martial arts—your enemies will just wait patiently to attack you one by one, dancing around menacingly, until you take down their buddies.

Heh. Typical textbook answer from a cheerleader. This is exactly what I’m talking about... acting like we're all just some group of naive idiots 🙂

The thing is, since we're talking about American movies, a lot of cars don't even have a traditional handbrake anymore. Most of them are automatics, so just throwing it into Park is plenty when you're trying to stay put on a steep hill.🙂 .

It absolutely drives me up the wall when I see these computers running some obscure operating system, polished to perfection with all those flashy little animations. It’s all just surface-level fluff; you don't even need a mouse because you can just stare at the screen and hammer away at commands 😵

And then there are those ridiculous continuity errors—one minute I’ve got an earring on, the next it’s gone? Or suddenly there's a scar on one side of a character's face, and then it just vanishes on the other?

Take that movie Marie Antoinette, for instance. She’s wearing these vintage period shoes, but then suddenly you see a pair of Converse sitting right there at the edge of the frame? It makes absolutely no sense.

-And everyone always hits the deck a split second before something blows up...
-Not a single woman ever looks like she actually just rolled out of bed in the morning...
-Every gun seems to have infinite ammo throughout the whole movie, yet the moment they run out of clips, they're suddenly empty...
-Everyone survives a massive hail of gunfire, but then if they're the bad guys, they fall three feet into some water and never resurface; meanwhile, if they're the heroes, they can jump off a hundred-foot cliff into the ocean and walk away fine...
-If you're dangling from a tiny branch, someone is guaranteed to swoop in and save you just a heartbeat before it snaps...

Every single time they need to pull the trigger—bang, bang, two shots fired, the holster goes empty, and then suddenly, in the very next scene, the gun is magically full again...🙄

Can't recall if someone already pointed this out, I haven't been keeping up with everything above...

Every single actor out there... they always wear dress shoes. Sneakers just don't exist in their world. And whenever the lead—whether he's a detective or some monster hunter—is trying to sneak around, you can always hear that rhythmic *clack, clack, clack, clack* of footsteps echoing everywhere. Interestingly enough, the villain is always conveniently deaf to it all.😕

When someone is trapped in some building or wandering through a sewer filled with monsters and psychopaths, the second they hear a tiny noise, they just have to go investigate it. 😲
Usually, that's when someone jumps out from behind them to scare them, and half the time, it turns out to be that injured or missing friend who just suddenly reappears out of nowhere...

In police chases, the cruisers always end up slamming into other cars, while the suspect cruises right through red lights at intersections... and somehow, nothing ever happens.🙄

Oh, and 🤣 apparently, if you want to protect yourself from high-caliber military rifle fire, all you need to do is duck behind a car door, a flipped table, or basically any random object whatsoever.🙏

Steven Seagal, Chuck Norris, Sylvester Stallone, and Arnold Schwarzenegger could probably take out half an entire army by themselves. Individually, of course.

Whenever you're being hunted by some psycho (especially in those horror movies), and your grand master plan is to bolt for the car or scramble inside to lock the front door, just be ready for your keys to absolutely vanish into thin air!!
😂

But honestly, it’s like everyone in these films is a total disaster... they never just have one set of keys, no, they somehow carry a massive mountain of them, acting like they own half of Chicago or something. 😁

🤣 🤣 🤣 I just had a flashback to that movie Sniper II starring Berenger. You know the one—it’s all about taking out some local commander during a civil war. His partner is a Black guy. The Mexicans are speaking Canadian, they’re riding trams through some random little town... My favorite part was when they’re walking through the streets and Berenger tells his partner, stay low profile. Don't talk to anyone, keep your eyes on the ground, walk slow but steady... And the Mexicans don't have a clue what's going on🤣 🤣 🤣
Honestly, it's the same story with every single Hollywood production filled with nonsense that tries to touch on the North America...

And don't even get me started on the cars; they never start on the first try, it’s always at the absolute last second. 🙏 🙏 🙏

Give it a rest...
Or go ahead and sue me for copyright infringement...

Personally, I always love those scenes where it’s one guy against thirty, you know? Everyone just stands there watching while our lone hero takes them down one by one. Sure, a few extras might go down from a simple slap, but our protagonist gets hit with twenty soda bottles to the face and his hair still looks perfect!

Or how you can find out absolutely everything!
For example, if you want to dig into some local family history, you just head into the public library (they're everywhere in the US, even in the tiniest little towns, they're all great and usually staffed by some sweet, jolly lady) and you can trace their entire lineage in no time!

You see stuff like this all the time—like in one scene, a wound is clearly on the left side of someone's face, but then suddenly it’s moved up to their forehead. Honestly, that usually falls on the script supervisor; those continuity errors are almost always their own fault...

But look, this isn't just some amateur mistake found in low-budget American B-movies... even Almodovar makes massive blunders in his film "The Bad Education": "Manuel Berenguer claims giving a walkman to John as a gift. According to the plot, this was before Ignacio's death in 1977. The walkman was introduced to the market in 1979." according to imdb-a

In at least 70% of movies, nobody bothers to lock their front door when they leave the house. But my absolute favorite trope has to be when the brakes fail, and suddenly, nobody thinks to pull the emergency brake.
(Is there some secret trick to using a handbrake while you're speeding down a highway that I missed?!) 😕

All phone numbers start with 555.
Shooting with empty guns.
Firing without any bullets loaded.
Or when they spray a whole clip at a getaway car and not a single shot even grazes the paint.
And then there's the blind guy who can somehow aim perfectly by sound alone.
😂

When they shoot at the hero, the bullets always seem to miss by an inch or fly right past them.

That’s action movies for you.

Anyway, do Americans really never say "hello" or "hey" when they pick up the phone? 😕
Or is that just movie logic?!
😕

No way. In movies, everyone is just perfectly charming, witty, and somehow fully glammed up even at midnight. 🤮
