5 must-have movies for every home collection?

So, if I sign up for *Sigh* and Sound, they’re offering me two films from this list for my home collection. Honestly, I don't really need any of them, and I doubt I'll even watch most of these more than twice, but since it's practically free, I might as well grab Ken Loach and Renoir; they’d probably feel right at home on my shelf.

it's a bit of an understatement... 😁

1/ Lord of the Rings (the whole trilogy on DVD, extended editions with all the bells and whistles, 4 discs per movie)
2/ Star Trek (all 10 series on DVD, obviously complete with all those extra features...)
3/ Star Wars (all 6 so far—still waiting on the next 3 to drop on DVD with the extras, but I've got the rest)
4/ Harry Potter (just the first 3 on DVD in extended versions for now, still waiting on the others—actually just finished Goblet of Fire yesterday)
5/ Honestly, doesn't even matter anymore because I've got enough... but maybe the full Alien collection or something like that

What are you even tripping about?! These books are killer... seriously. The further you get into them, the better they get, and the movies actually do a solid job following the source material too!!! What would you rather have instead: some Britney Spears Crossroads DVD or a porn movie? 🙂

I just wasn't expecting anyone to specifically single out those movies as "must-haves."🙂 Usually, people lean toward either the old-school cult classics or the newer postmodern stuff... but there aren't really any rules, I suppose. If you're into Harry Potter, then fine, that's cool... It just caught me off guard, because my own list would be 180 degrees different from yours...

...So yeah, that's all. And no, I'm pretty sure Britney Spears wouldn't make the cut on mine either.🙂

Alright, alright. It's not a big deal. My bad for losing it on you. But honestly, get mad at me when people act like you're right—thinking a movie has to be 20 or 30 years old just to make a top tier list... personally, I think the Harry Potter series is solid and I'm stoked for part 5. 🙂

Hmm... let me see... here’s a quick list, though it's all out of order: Die Hard, Los Angeles Lakers, Gladiator, Thieves, Killers, and Two Loaded Shotguns; The Matrix, but just the first one. There are plenty more in my collection, and even more that I'm dying to get my hands on.
