I actually think Amelie is a solid movie,
but I often find myself watching just the first hour to unwind, only to lose interest halfway through.
I like the film, but it’s like eating too much dessert—eventually, you just hit a wall of sugar overload.
So, I’ve probably watched that opening hour about 20 times, even though I've only finished the full movie three times.😁

Honestly, the soundtrack is incredible 😍
I’ve been spinning it at least once a week for a year now.
You really need to dive into the rest of Yann Tiersen’s discography—he’s got some seriously interesting stuff out there.

He also did the score for Goodbye Lenin. I recommend it too, though you eventually realize everything follows a similar pattern. Not that it matters much to me—whenever I hit one of those manic, romantic moods, I'll listen to just about anything.😈

What an absolutely stellar film—truly one of a kind! I actually went out and picked up the DVD, which is a total departure from my usual routine.

I have mixed feelings about Amélie. Visually? It’s stunning. The soundtrack? Absolutely beautiful. But if I’m being totally honest, there were moments where the plot and the characters themselves just... rubbed me the wrong way. 🙂It feels almost too calculated in its attempt to be "likable"...

So I'm watching the classic movie "La Boulangère de Monceau"... the intro, the narration, even the way they speak—it all just screams Amélie 👍
