I distinguish between

a user account used as an 'administrative tool'
(where multiple authorized staff members log into one single account)

and

a personal user account
(one person using the account for discussion, moderation, or admin tasks),

which is a completely different matter.

Yeah, I get it now. You’re basically calling rule-breaking "administrative adjustments." If you're gonna do that, just put it in the actual rules so people know what kind of minefield they're walking into when they join Reddit. Right now, it feels like a total scam—everyone signs up under one set of rules, only to find out there's a whole different set of "admin tools" used to screw them over in practice.

Look, this hits close to home for me given my role here and how I see things. There's one thing I just don't get.

What exactly are you all fighting about? And why? The whole pro-vax versus anti-vax circus.

Honestly, it seems like neither side is playing with a full deck. If I’m worried about getting the shot, I’d actually be out there bugging everyone else to get it just to lower my own chances of catching something.

And I don't get the vaccinated crowd either—why all the preaching and pressure? You got the jab, right? Great. If these people don't want it, they don't want it. They'll build immunity some other way. Worried about hospitals overflowing? That's basically just mass vaccination by another name. It was like the chaos at a huge Black Friday sale downtown. It happens, and then it passes.

The new wave of COVID-19. Boo-hoo. That's just the next wave of building immunity (and natural selection at work). Everyone gets to choose their own path to immunity. And everyone has the right to hope they just dodge the virus entirely.

So, why are you all trying to convert one another?

Just for those curious: Unknown is basically just a modern version of that old derogatory nickname used by pro-Russian users years ago to insult people from the Caribbean, just so it wouldn't go unnoticed. I remember how things used to be back then, and I can personally vouch that the woman in question is anything but a snowflake.

It’s funny, really. We spend all our time lecturing everyone else about why they should get vaccinated, yet we turn around and demand that nobody touches us. It's a bit of a contradiction, I suppose.

The difference is that unlike those who are vaccinated, the unvaccinated have to keep testing regularly just to prove they aren't infected.
