Greetings!

I’m running into a bit of a snag while trying to get some torrent clients set up—specifically things like uTorrent or BitTorrent—but for some reason, none of them seem to want to install properly on my system.

So, here’s the situation—I download the setup.exe file like any normal user would, initiate the process, and the extraction starts up. But then, out of nowhere, everything just shuts down. It closes itself immediately, leaving me with absolutely nothing—no error messages, no pop-ups, just total silence. It's like the installer hits a wall and simply decides to quit without even saying goodbye.
I’ve tried everything to unblock this—I went through the properties menu, attempted to tweak the exe file via the Registry Editor, and even tried running it in compatibility mode for Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista, and even Windows XP—but honestly, nothing seems to work. It's like hitting a brick wall.
I’ve spent quite a bit of time scouring the internet for answers—digging through forums and documentation alike—but I haven't been able to find anyone else running into this specific issue. It feels like a bit of a needle in a haystack!

If anyone happens to have a handle on what might be causing this issue—or better yet, knows the fix—I would truly appreciate your assistance.

Have you tried downloading any other software besides just using torrent clients—maybe something like CCleaner, Mozilla, or Chrome?

I certainly did—I’ve had zero issues installing all my other software both before and after the update. It's just those specific programs used for downloading via torrents that refuse to open.

Go ahead and right-click that exe file, then select Run as Administrator to start the installation.

Oh, I certainly did—that was my very first move! It simply refuses to work, no matter what I try.

... scanned for malware? Honestly, maybe try running them with your antivirus turned off if you really think they're safe to install.

How exactly do I go about doing that?

I just downloaded a completely different installer, but I'm still hitting a wall—only now I'm getting this error message: "Setup Cannot create file"

I always grab Microsoft directly from the manufacturer's site. If you start downloading stuff from random third-party sites, you're basically asking for trouble—especially with torrents, which are notorious for being loaded with malware.
If you're already living life on the edge using torrents, I assume you've at least fortified your PC with some solid antivirus and anti-malware software. You really need to run a deep scan on those downloads, or honestly, just scan your entire hard drive to be safe.
