Neither Dubai nor Nice can help you here. I'm assuming the content mods aren't the ones handling technical stuff or high-level business decisions.

That’s a question for the big boss.😁

Even he isn't much use anymore. I switched over to Brave, but even that has started acting up lately...

It works fine for me, though it makes Reddit look a little empty since there’s just a blank gap on the left where the ads used to be.

Seriously, this whole situation with the ads is driving me absolutely insane!

🤣🤣

About seven—maybe eight—people have offered actual solutions so far, but I wouldn't dream of taking any of them. It’s probably best that way—otherwise, there’s really nothing left to complain about.

Thanks—I ended up going with Firefox Focus and everything is running smoothly now. Problem solved.

I've been using Reddit for three years now without any issues. I don't really feel the need to use a browser to access the forum; it's faster, looks cleaner, and I suspect it uses less data too.

I actually love ads. If they ever decide to get rid of them, I’m going to be pretty upset 🙂

Nicholas Nguyen said:Get an adblocker installed, people. Beyond just saving you from annoying ads, it’s a vital security measure because viruses frequently hide within advertisements.
After all, a few years back, Reddit was paralyzed for days, and a massive number of users had their computers infected exactly that way.
Those who were running an adblocker escaped without any damage.

I'm using Chrome on my phone, which app should I grab from the Google Play Store?

Honestly, Firefox Focus saved my life. Highly recommend it. Not only is it totally ad-free, but I don't have to go scrubbing my history after some weird late-night searches, like "how to grow hair fast" 🤣. Everything just wipes itself clean the second you close the app.

What the hell is up with these ads that keep interrupting the page loading, and on top of that, they're showing prices in some random currency I don't even recognize!

It keeps kicking me off the Reddit site and just redirects me straight to some random ad like uksoccershop... even when I don't click on anything, it just sends me there. What gives? I'm on my PC using Chrome, not my phone.

It’s become completely unbearable. Honestly, I can't even finish typing my thoughts before the system kicks me out!

So, once they first popped up, I tried switching over to that Brave browser, but honestly, it didn't do squat. Then, out of nowhere, they just vanished. Everything was running perfectly fine on Chrome without any addons or anything—totally smooth sailing. Until yesterday. Since yesterday, it's back to being total crap. 👎

It’s essentially the exact same deal with Opera Mini.👍

Honestly, all I ever see are ads for men's underwear... I'm not even complaining right now; if anything, they actually make my day feel a little brighter and more upbeat 😳

This new, super aggressive type of advertising makes it impossible to use Reddit. You can barely read more than a single line, let alone actually write anything. It’s just frustrating and pointless at this point.

Alright, a free Reddit community.
But even then, there's such a thing as going too far...

Friends, when you transition from your mobile devices to the Reddit community—and I specifically mean doing so without relying on the Tapatalk application—I strongly suggest that you download a reliable Free Adblocker application. For those using Android, you can find it on the Google Play Store; look for the icon featuring a white shield set against a red background, though I am fairly certain an equivalent version exists for the iPhone as well.
Once you have installed it, utilize that specific application as your primary browser to access our Reddit pages (though, truthfully, this method works seamlessly for any website you visit as well). It functions absolutely flawlessly and completely eliminates any nuisance caused by intrusive advertisements.
Please give this method a try and return to this thread to report back on your experience. 🙂

Look, I don't have anything against ads, but having to refresh the page ten times just to read one sentence? Or trying to send a message only to have an ad pop up and force another F5? That's ridiculous. This isn't normal. Please, just get this brainless ad off Reddit and fire whoever thought this was a brilliant idea.

I'm not against ads either. But I definitely agree with everything else you mentioned.
Especially the part where I have to type the same comment three times because it just vanishes and kicks me back to the home screen...

No, we aren't. At least, I'm not.
