Joseph Fisher3 said:Is there any chance this thread could be turned into a sticky? Given how much the post count fluctuates compared to other topics, it feels somewhat unfair to leave it buried in the shuffle, especially since we're burdened by that rule where the competition gets canceled if we don't hit a minimum number of predictions.

Nope.

You guys are highway robbers.☕

And yeah, 66% works out to 31.68. Is submitting 31 predictions enough to get us by? 🍿

Nah, because that would dip below 66%—you’d need to pull together 32 forecasts to make it work.

Ivica, they’re coming for you with everything they've got to shut your league down. You need to get people moving... step up those rewards ☕

stormyharbor13 said:Rather than Ivich's constant issuing of fines, we should probably just implement bans for people who sign up and then fail to post without any explanation.
I'm talking about all other games here, obviously.
That way, you actually screw over the game master, ruin their thread, and potentially mess things up for other players who might have been late to sign up.
It’s not fair at all. If you signed up—whether you were joking or not—just take the damn two or three minutes per round to post your results.

I agree. It’s perfectly normal that I get screwed.

Larry Sanchez7 said:I’m totally with you on this. Honestly, some people deserve a permanent ban. When someone puts in all that work—setting up threads, drafting rules, spending days on it—only for others to dodge the consequences because they didn't bother to sign up... it just isn't right. There should be actual penalties for that kind of thing ☕

I say I will think about it and make a formal decision.

Sam Brown20 said:Everyone is so wound up. Thursday is still a long way off.

But what if they don't post?

Posting predictions like that is low style.

And yeah, 66% is 31.68—is that enough to justify posting 31 predictions?🍿

Exactly—we need 32 forecasts.

I'll crank them up. Just hold on—you'll have all the details by 11:45 PM tonight, so stick with us and see what brighthound8 has in store for you regarding the prizes.

Forget New Year's Day; the real anticipation is waiting to see when Ivich is actually going to drop a post.🤣

Ivich, are we talking 11:45 PM Eastern Time or UTC? ☕

It’s pretty obvious we’re nothing but a thorn in the side of the organizations mentioned in this PDF, but they aren't going to shut us down that easily. brighthound8, lead the way.

brighthound8, I just received some solid intel from a few high-level, reliable sources suggesting that some of the people who signed up for this are actually coming from the opposition just to sabotage the whole thing.
They’re essentially squatting on spots in the league, but they have no intention of actually submitting their picks, which is a blatant attempt to tank the competition.

I’m not sure if any late entries came in after the deadline or if anyone else voiced interest once we hit capacity, but I’d strongly suggest finding a few reliable backups—people who will actually play and set their lineups—just to shut down these petty attempts at disruption.

There were. Now, I'm going to head over to the official thread and say something different there.

Look, let's get this straight—if you don't have your predictions submitted by the deadline (Thursday at 6:30 PM), you're out. Period. You'll face a moderator penalty, and a replacement player will step in immediately to take your spot.

2.) If I catch either you or your opponent repeating 50% of the previous results—which is lazy, frankly—you're both disqualified and penalized. A replacement steps in right then and there.

3.) I might be lenient enough to grant a pass for the first round—but expect a -3 point hit and a zero on either your account or your opponent's, plus a final warning. However—and this is a big however—if you miss the second round, you're done. No more chances. A replacement takes over and inherits all your results from Round 1.

So, let's actually get our acts together, submit the picks, and play for the prizes!!!!

What prizes????

You'll find out later today—stay tuned!!!!

Give me a break, it’s only Monday. Why is everyone losing their minds already?
Given how much is on the line with this competition and that massive prize pool, it’s pretty obvious people are just playing the waiting game and calculating their moves until the very last second. 😁

A quick heads-up from the mod team:
The discussion threads are officially dead. One got shut down, two others were reopened and then nuked, and now we’re back to having a chat thread again—enough is enough. If this game is actually going to move forward, we’re sticking strictly to result pages and leaderboards. No more chats, no more nonsense, and absolutely zero debating about forests, tractors, or prizes. Everything else on the official site—aside from player stats and the official rankings after each round—will be met with an immediate ban or, if we can somehow keep things moving, just deleting the whole competition without any warning at all.

If anyone goes and opens a new chat thread, the competition gets scrapped instantly and the organizer gets kicked off the forum.
