Back in the day, I used to go at it with women in a 69 kind of way
But nowadays? It's more like a 96 setup

I see where you're coming from. It seems inevitable that certain fanboys will flock to a series like The Walking Dead just to intentionally tank its rating, wouldn't you agree?

The cat in this video is named Didga. She’s actually quite talented at surfing and skateboarding...

Hmm... You certainly are a tricky one to read. ☕

You aren't keeping up—it's sitting at 9.4 right now. 🙂
Anyway, what’s your take on the new cast for True Detective? I was scrolling through that thread and saw you had some thoughts there, so I figured I'd just ask you directly. 🙂
I mean, Colin Farrell is fine, but I'm so used to seeing Vince in those goofy comedies—though, hey, maybe we finally get a new McConaughey type. 😁

I’m banking more on Vince than Colin here. I’ve seen Colin in a million movies—everything from comedies to those heavy dramas—and honestly, he probably won't top his work in *In Bruges* or *Phone Booth*. And don't get me started on McAdams; she just rubs me the wrong way, and her face seems to blend into the background of every scene.
As for season two, I’m not holding my breath compared to the first one. It’ll likely be worse, even if it still ends up being good. Real bummer that Fukunaga isn't directing anymore; he was basically the secret sauce for the quality in season one. They've got Justin Lin—the guy behind the *Fast & Furious* flicks—handling the first two episodes, so I'm staying cautious. 😁

That was my exact thought regarding McConaughey—always stuck in those shallow comedies—but his performance in True Detective? Absolutely blew me away. He was brilliant.
I haven't actually seen Dallas Buyers Club yet, though I really should. That Oscar was clearly well-deserved. Perhaps Vince could pull off something similar.

Look, Matthew actually has some solid credits under his belt besides those lemon-squeezer roles—stuff like A Time to Kill, Two for the Money, or Killer Joe—long before he blew up as the go-to guy we see now in DBC, Wolf of Wall Street, or Ted Lasso.
I’m with you on Vaughn—I think he’ll nail this—it’s just that I can’t really point to one standout, serious performance of his (if we aren't counting Psycho, which was honestly kind of a dud).
Maybe he does have one, but I guess I haven't sat through it.
Farrell, on the other hand—and look, he’s not exactly my favorite actor—has some decent stuff out there (Phone Booth, or In Bruges, which Matthew Anderson4 mentioned, and The Recruit), though I totally agree that with him, you pretty much know exactly what you're getting into.

Farrell was great in Tigerland, too—a bit older, sure, but still a solid movie. I think this could be a really good pick, especially if they nail the characters and dialogue just like they did the first time...
