Wrong. It's a classic.

When everything seems perfect for everyone involved, you can bet your life that something is fundamentally broken.

And if it's an American production, it's the same story.

I don't follow much Chinese cinema; personally, I find Korean films to be on a completely different level...

Noah Roberts46 said:IMDb is absolutely flooded with unrealistic ratings. You only have to look at Christopher Nolan’s filmography to see the problem. Look, I’ll be the first to admit I think Nolan is a solid director, but give me a break—the man shouldn't be pulling nothing under an 8.5, even when he delivers a total dud like *The Dark Knight Rises*. I have no idea how that movie manages to sit at an 8.6. When you see it ranked ahead of actual cinematic masterpieces, IMDb loses all credibility.

*The Shawshank Redemption* is a great movie, sure, but let's be honest—it’s nowhere near the greatest of all time. If you asked me about *The Godfather*, I might actually agree with that sentiment.

I actually prefer The Godfather over Shawshank too, though I'd definitely place Shawshank in my top three or four. As for The Dark Knight Rises, it’s a solid movie; I had to bite my tongue quite hard to keep from jumping in when you started bashing it. ☕

The author of this is Zuco, and we all know his work isn't worth much... the same applies to European cinema, particularly those Swedish dramas and such. Honestly, I’d rather sit through a regular MLS match than endure one of those... unless you're talking about French films, because they actually make incredible movies, especially horror. The best horror film I've ever seen was French.

If you had only taken a moment to tell us who you actually were, wouldn't everything have been so much simpler for everyone involved? ☕

Look, TDK was brilliant, but TDKR has way too many plot holes. I’ll stop harping on it if it bothers you that much. ☕

Just as an aside, I have quite a bit of respect for LeBron James as well. 🤣

I think I’m on the same page as Walter Grant5. Must do is probably just silly, if you ask me. I guess there isn't really anything you *have* to do besides eventually passing away. It feels a bit much when people insist you absolutely have to watch certain movies, listen to specific music, or read certain books. Humans lived in the wilderness for tens of thousands of years—actually, hundreds of thousands—without even knowing what writing was until just a few millennia ago, and yet now someone claims you "must" experience something. For countless generations, people just wandered the earth without any clue about the world, let alone having to watch something like *The Wire* about life in Baltimore.

At the end of the day, you just need to find food and survive until you die. That's pretty much all there is to it, I suppose.

Keith Miller30 said:Honestly, the way William Harrison speaks is just something else; I don't think I've ever encountered a more difficult orator. It’s as if he lacks any sense of rhythm or structure, where you can never quite tell when a sentence is supposed to end or where a comma or period should actually land because everything just flows together in one endless, flat line. My favorite part is watching the moderator sit there in silence, waiting for him to finish a thought, only to realize after a few awkward seconds that he was actually done.🤣 If he truly intends to pursue a career in politics, he really needs to take some serious steps to refine his delivery.☕

Honestly, I don't think he cares. He's just doing his own thing and sticking to his guns. Just keeps pushing forward. I guess he talks a lot of nonsense sometimes, but I respect that he stays consistent. It's a nice change from guys like Mitt Romney or whoever else is out there.

Sure, looking at life as a whole, there are no "must-dos," but you can't take that logic and apply it to tiny little subsets of modern existence. If you care about cinema, there are definitely must-see movies. If you want to be an English professor, yeah, you probably need to read Shakespeare. If you're aiming to be a jazz saxophonist, you've gotta listen to Coltrane. Whatever.

"I'm interested in British literature."
"Cool."
"I guess I have to read Shakespeare."
"Nothing is mandatory except death."

See? Using that logic in a specific conversation just makes you look like a hipster.

Yeah, I totally agree—it’s definitely something we should be doing.
