It’s all just hostile propaganda meant to scare more Americans into leaving. As if there’s any country out there where the school system or healthcare is actually better organized... it’s all a lie. Besides, the President said we were on our way to becoming one of the most developed nations in America, so we must be there by now ☕

Paul Sanders5 said:What kind of brain-dead post is even circulating on Facebook right now? Imagine being such a privileged brat that you actually call an Uber just to get driven across town so you can "immerse" yourself in the local language of the country you just moved to. 🙏

Good grief, honestly, it’s no wonder Europe is going straight down the drain.

Gross. 🤮

The American education system is a total train wreck from start to finish, but this kind of blatant money laundering is just hitting a whole new level of ridiculous

Spending money on education... sounds like an oxymoron.

Besides, why is funding transport to a school where kids learn a "foreign language" considered a waste? Wouldn't it be better to give as many kids as possible the chance to learn multiple languages? Back in my day, besides English, I could only pick German—which I’ve always hated—and even then, I had to pay extra for it.

I know you ultra-nationalists can't stand the idea of multiculturalism in Sweden, but trashing something actually beneficial just for the sake of being negative is bottom-tier behavior.

Look, I’m all for kids learning new languages, but we shouldn't be driving them halfway across town just to learn something their own parents could easily teach them at home. Seriously. And even if we're talking about any kind of extracurricular stuff, people love to point out how "great" it is that the government covers the gas money for one kid. Like, sure, go ahead and pay for one 🤣 person, but if you did that for twenty of them, the budget would blow up. Instead, everyone just jumps on the bandwagon like, "Wow, what a great country, look how much they care about our kids" 🤣

Is this nation actually planning to bankrupt itself just to fund a taxi service? They could have easily poured those funds into repairing crumbling highway tunnels instead.

Honestly, it’s probably best if neither of them does a damn thing.

Good grief... They’re handing out taxi vouchers to kids just to get them to school, when they could have easily used that money to fund two or three startup agencies and actually create some jobs.
It's absurd.
We'll never see a nation with this much self-awareness, unlike Sweden—those damn activists funded by Soros's slush funds!

Just the usual predictable nonsense, implying the issue is her learning a language rather than the fact that it’s just a massive, irrational waste of cash. But hey, please, carry on—I won't stop you. 😬

I can't help but feel that Scandinavians have been playing a very long game here, calculating their moves well in advance. It isn't exactly a new phenomenon, either; the sheer scale of the preferential treatment older immigrant generations enjoyed over there is enough to make your head spin. They didn't fall behind, though; if anything, they thrived.

Then there is the matter of the libtards, who seem to view any similar expenditure of public funds as nothing more than a direct assault on their own wallets or an act of state terrorism. Honestly, it’s exhausting how we’ve been conditioned to be so incredibly shortsighted, aren't we?

What brightpilot6 was hinting at makes perfect sense; this kind of policy really pays off if it helps them attract highly educated talent or fill labor shortages from our neck of the woods. Think about how much it costs to train a single doctor, engineer, or nurse—all that expertise gets handed over to countries like Germany, Austria, or Ireland for free. It’s pretty obvious they try to offer these little perks that cost next to nothing compared to the massive payoff. Honestly, it probably even works for attracting skilled construction workers too...

About a month ago, I read that a huge reason for the success of the American economy and scientific community is actually their approach to immigrant researchers. For instance, about 44% of medical scientists weren't born in the USA. Their K-12 education system is a disaster, so they basically bail themselves out by importing brains...

Around here, the only thing that seems to matter is pulling some strings for a nephew, a neighbor, or a cousin to land them a spot in a government agency or a big corporation like GE. As for the people we actually need to keep around at all costs? Well, let's just say we don't care about them. We're too busy looking at those well-connected relatives who, in most cases, end up being nothing more than overpaid, useless burdens...

Not strictly on topic, but let's be real: Sweden is in deep trouble right now.

You’re absolutely spot on. It is completely irrational how they blow through cash.
It honestly gives me chills when I stop to think about how many public fountains or underwater transit tunnels they could have built with that kind of money.

I don't see why Sweden would be trying to attract anyone like that now, especially since they're already flooded with thousands of doctors, architects, and other high-level professionals coming in from Asia and Africa. 🤔

Vastine. Spot on. I haven't seen a single decent fountain anywhere else in Europe besides this backwater mess of a city, Washington, D.C.

Finally, the students over at MIT might actually learn something useful—biblical theology.

And then someone goes and insults the philosophy department just because they’re standing up against this kind of nonsense🤦

The national curriculum overhaul 😂

It has to be some kind of joke, doesn't it? I can only hope it’s fake, because if this actual syllabus is what they're planning to implement, it’s honestly nothing short of a comedy.
