Paul Martinez73 said:I’d say the ESPN guy, since he's younger, sharper, and more responsible—I actually expect him to grasp the fallout from what he does.

What am I supposed to explain to a 70-year-old? If you have grandparents still around, you already know how stubborn they can be... that old-age obstinacy is real. That's why we, the younger and smarter generation, have to act a bit more responsibly and look out for them.

Honestly, I think people would have way more empathy if this disease could jump from humans to dogs. People would keep their pups inside, avoid all contact, wear NASA spacesuits just to go home, and weep when their pets passed away. But as it stands, it’s just some old folks, so who cares...

Hope you get my point...

When you're 70 years old and part of a group that's already vulnerable, you really shouldn't be out there acting like this isn't a direct threat to you. I guess there's just no sense in trying to reason with people who can't see the danger coming.

I mean, we aren't actually going to pull a stunt where people from 20 to 55 are stuck inside while everyone over 55 gets to wander around freely, right? I guess that's just how things work now. Maybe.

Look, it's pretty obvious by now that you and I aren't going to see eye to eye on this. Not even by a fraction of a percent. I guess we just disagree.

urbanhawk17 said:The whole thing with masks and the absolute idiots is just peak comedy.

I went to grab some groceries at the grocery store, and this guy practically breathes down my neck, standing inches away. Of course, he’s wearing a mask.

So I tell him, "Your mask doesn't mean much if you're still crowding everyone."

And he snaps back, "I've got mine on, so why don't you get one too and stop worrying?"

First off, he clearly doesn't get that the mask is supposed to protect me, not him. Second, he's actually part of the problem because he thinks having a mask makes him invincible, like he's Jesus Christ or something. Third, he couldn't care less if someone else gets sick; he only cares about himself.

Personally, I don't wear a mask. I just keep my distance from people—which, honestly, hasn't been bad for me—I don't touch things unnecessarily, and I follow the rules. Maybe even more than necessary.

I'm not really the type to join in on all this hysteria, but I'll play along until the end. The issue is that so many people don't follow any rules at all, and that's how you end up with a mess.

Honestly, we really ought to just give people over 70 a complete pass if they get into a fender bender or something, you know? Like, total immunity from blame on the road. I feel like this kind of shift is coming, a real revolution in how we look at aging and driving. 🙏🙏

It’s honestly going to be that guy just wandering around wearing a mask while he goes out of his way to hunt down people without them, basically just looking for an excuse to mess with them 😂

Elizabeth Mendoza said:That’s not panic. It’s just being smart and staying cautious.

There is zero point in heading out if the highways are absolutely packed with people; things will never settle down if everyone rushes out at once.

There are really only two ways this ends: the natural cycle—viruses tend to move in seasonal waves—or a vaccine, assuming some miracle drug actually gets developed.

None of these restrictions actually stop the virus; they just slow the spread—so quit blaming people for nothing. And maybe do some actual reading if you're going to be this paranoid.

If only he had any idea how I handle things once I step outside my own front door...🤣

It’s a perfect reflection of our national character.

I mean, honestly, are we really at a point where someone has to tell you to wash your hands, eat decent food, or stop breathing down everyone's neck during flu season?

You see people walking around in those flimsy N95 masks that don't protect anyone, wearing rubber gloves, and trying to maintain a ten-foot radius from one another.
We’ve turned into a society that demonizes its own neighbors while living in these twisted, delusional bubbles.

Look, I get it—war and economic crises tend to drag the absolute worst out of humanity, but you’d think every ten years we might actually remember how selfish and hypocritical we all truly are.

So, I was reading about how Lionel Messi actually ended up getting hauled in because they claimed he wasn't keeping his social distance in the middle of the plaza, saying he was basically breathing down some other guy's neck, but honestly, the court totally bought his side of the story when he argued he was at least three feet away, which is exactly what the rules say you're supposed to do 😂😂

It’s like watching Dad go door-to-door during Halloween, knocking on everyone's house while they all act like they don't have a cent to spare, yet somehow this guy over here is walking around with pockets absolutely bursting with cash. He actually has the nerve to tell him, "Don't worry about making a profit," only for the other one to snap back, "I've already got my costume; why don't you just grab one yourself and stop stressing?" 😂

🤣

A guy goes along with his friend to rob a Chase Bank, but the cops catch him. He ends up doing five years in federal prison. Once he finally gets out, he tracks down his old buddy and asks how on earth he managed to get away with it. The friend just shrugs and says, "I had a mask. Get one and you'll be fine." 😂

I can't believe we're actually talking about this. It’s one of those things that just hits you out of nowhere. I've been sitting here thinking about it all morning, and honestly? My mind is blown. We need to dig deeper into this. There’s so much more to uncover if we really want to get to the bottom of it. Let's get into the weeds on this one. kaže:
There are really only two ways this plays out. It either follows its own natural cycle—since most viruses tend to move in waves, usually hitting us seasonally—or we see the invention of a vaccine. I mean, if we’re talking about some wild medical breakthrough or a miracle drug scenario, that's the only other way out.

Look, let’s be real here: none of these measures are actually going to stop the virus in its tracks. All they're doing is slowing the pandemic down a bit. So, please, stop pointing fingers at people for no reason. If you're genuinely this worried, do yourself a favor and go do some actual research.

I’m not scared or anything. It’s just that I have those days where I feel like I’m right on the edge, you know? Hopefully, today isn't one of them.

My parents are getting older and their health isn't what it used to be. I actually spent the whole day today packing up supplies and gear to get them set for the entire week. Honestly, I can't help but feel this constant, nagging sense of anxiety. It’s like there's always this underlying layer of caution running through my head. Even when I'm being incredibly careful, I’m constantly second-guessing myself, terrified that I might accidentally bring something around them that could trigger a health issue. It's a heavy feeling to carry.

Well... then the Pope runs into Jason from Friday the 13th, and he tells him: "Your mask doesn't mean a thing if you just keep charging straight at people." 😂

That’s just how it goes, Pope. You stay home, look after the elderly and the vulnerable, and focus on building something solid, while those other guys go running around town acting like they own the place.

Idiots always end up paying the price. It's the first rule of ☕
