Jessica Gonzalez said:During the Atlanta Bats game, there were thousands of infected people, just thousands. And she was there only two days before the very first infected American was officially recorded. That’s roughly the order of magnitude difference between the official numbers and what’s actually happening. This has been going on through the Alpine countries since last year.

And back in 2017, you had all those people dying from the flu.

There are some statistics and unofficial reports suggesting that stronger cases of pneumonia cropped up throughout the Alps during the entire ski season. I guess there might have even been instances where certain countries intentionally downplayed it to protect tourism, especially since ski resorts have been struggling with unpredictable weather for a while now. A good example would be that one spot in Austria where a huge number of people fell ill. It probably wasn't just an isolated incident. That said, skiers are mostly younger folks who rarely catch these kinds of colds. It seems like things really took off among the elderly once it spread to nursing homes.

A friend of mine can't even remember the last time he dealt with pneumonia, but he's been fighting this one for a month now and just won't get better. He tested negative, too. It isn't SARS-CoV-2, though that's the only thing going around...

Honestly, I’m starting to feel more and more like there isn't just one little punk causing all this trouble, but actually a whole bunch of them hanging around. Because when things start blowing up, it feels like one person somehow manages to infect fifty others at once, and let's be real, that just doesn't seem likely.

Given how fast things seem to be popping up lately, maybe we'll see SARS-CoV-3 soon too.

They’re still riding those little bicycles through the hallways, ringing their bells like they think they're back in Beijing. 😁

The Germans are getting the Bundesliga back up and running on May 9th. My only lingering question is how they’re handling player testing—are they running quick screenings on the fly, or what?

It’s that classic collective delusion where everyone acts like they just survived a plague because the media won't shut up about it. Atypical pneumonia has always been around, especially during the winter months. Suddenly, everything is being rebranded as COVID-19.

And then this guy actually tries to offer me a Messi's jersey at full scale, telling me he has a kid and measuring me from head to toe, saying, "Hey, you have a ten-year-old son, this would be perfect for him."

I took my girlfriend on a little holiday trip through the mountains right before Christmas—we stopped by Hallstatt and St. Wolfgang along the way (by the way, 🙏 is a pretty surreal spot)—and I’ve mentioned before—though I honestly can't keep track of all these threads anymore—that my old man had some weird symptoms during that first month. He had a low-grade fever for about three weeks and a cough, with zero logical explanations from his doctors. He went through several rounds of testing, but they couldn't tell him what he actually had.

Then the other day, my girlfriend and I were talking and realized she also hit a sudden fever at the start of the year and ended up in the ER—without any actual testing, obviously. It’s entirely possible we picked it up somewhere.

Nobody alive knows when this truly kicked off or if there was even a "patient zero" in Wuhan—if that isn't the case, everything changes. It might turn out the number of people worldwide who have already walked through this is nearing a billion.

Give or take 100 million, just as a rough estimate.

The real question is how much you can even trust those tests to begin with.

It all kicked off in China, so people immediately jumped to blaming the Chinese, but honestly, who actually knows where this thing really started?

It was likely those Champions League and Europa League matches. By the time things were already spiraling out of control, the domestic leagues—basically sitting somewhere between 5th and 12th place—really just added fuel to the fire.

Look, I really don't want to be some party pooper here, because honestly, I’ve been the one organizing the get-togethers myself before 🤣, but those serological tests they were running—I think it was over in the Netherlands—they used a pretty small sample size, and most of what came back showed only about 3% of people were actually infected. Just random testing, you know?

A woman from a town near St. Louis had her surgery pushed back in March because of the Coronavirus. A few days later, she passed away.

When Capak read this, he probably dropped his measuring tape right out of his hands—you know, the one he uses to check the height of those plexiglass shields.

She isn't the only one, either.

If I remember correctly, in that village up north in Italy where this all kicked off, asymptomatic cases hit around 40%—so it really just comes down to the sample you're looking at.

🤣

Have you noticed on Netflix how even old man Franjo isn't exactly a fan of Messi? He sits there watching the Argentina match in a bar, offering thanks to the heavens solely for the skills of a decent Pipita.

Messi is ignored; he's irrelevant. The guy just knows his football, nothing more. 🤣
