Decent movie.

It’s expected to have plot holes when it isn't some heavy sci-fi horror flick. 🙂
But it maintains a serious tone throughout, which I appreciate. Without that, it would have just felt like a cheap parody.
It hits the right balance. It's alright.

It’s actually quite good, a genuinely charming little movie if you ask me. The soundtrack is absolutely phenomenal, honestly one of the best parts 🙂

That trailer really got my hopes up. It’s exactly the kind of flick I usually dig—taking a mainstream concept, flipping it on its head with some decent sarcasm, and then layering in a bit of heart through a romance.

The opening had some fun sarcastic bites, but the catch is that the lead isn't actually a zombie. I mean, sure, I wasn't expecting a walking corpse to fall in love, but this guy isn't just catching feelings—he’s obsessively clinging to memories, reliving the past, hanging out in some wrecked-up old plane, listening to music... you get the idea. Honestly, they could have put a lot more effort into exploring that tension between being undead and feeling alive. As it stands, the whole "zombie" label feels like nothing more than bait for kids who ended up walking out of the theater disappointed. And that romantic subplot? It just doesn't land—it lacks the weight needed to actually carry the movie.

It’s honestly such a bizarre mix of being way too polished and just plain ridiculous—like, how does he even listen to music while living in some perfectly curated little studio apartment on a plane? 🤣 But I guess that’s the whole point of the hyperbole; at the end of the day, it isn't trying to be some heavy, serious cinematic masterpiece anyway.

My partner and I watched it for Valentine's Day, expecting some kind of zombie version of Twilight, and we were pleasantly surprised.
It’s got this great mix of humor and a laid-back vibe, all wrapped up in a romantic theme. Plus, the soundtrack is fantastic and there are some genuinely hilarious moments. We mostly viewed it as a parody rather than a serious drama, which is probably why we enjoyed it so much.
Anyway, I’d definitely recommend it if you have a lazy summer afternoon to kill—you won't regret it.

I was just about to say the same thing. I thought the movie was good, pretty cute. As soon as I saw the trailer, I really wanted to check it out and I actually liked it. I'm into zombies and this was just super sweet. It's a fun movie where you don't have to overthink the plot. Just easy watching.

And besides, nobody said guys can't watch it too. 😁

It’s a bit of a disjointed experience, if I'm being honest. It doesn't quite land as a comedy, it isn't really a horror flick, and the romantic subplots feel somewhat underdeveloped. Because it tries to blend all those genres together, I suppose it ends up feeling somewhat pleasant and a little more refreshing than the usual wave of mediocre comedies we see. That said, I think the casting could have been handled much better.
