I really shouldn't be jumping into this thread since things have clearly spiraled out of control, but you could make the exact same argument for cases where man-woman couples adopt children. They didn't play any biological role in bringing those kids into the world, yet if they prove they’re responsible and financially stable, they have every right to care for them. So, what gives? Are you against adoption too? 🤷

There’s a massive number of kids sitting in foster care right now that nobody seems to give a damn about. These kids could be adopted by either straight or gay couples and finally get a real home. On the other hand, I don't personally agree with same-sex couples adopting children in this current climate or in this part of the country, because those kids would likely deal with absolute hell starting from preschool. In America, we probably won't see things change for at least another 50 years because people here have such deep-seated, fossilized views on these issues. How healthy it actually is for a child to live in a same-sex household? I'm not sure. But I do know it isn't healthy for a kid to grow up in a community that is so drastically different from the majority in our eyes. It makes them a constant target for ridicule, if not actual physical violence. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me one bit. 🤷

When it comes to MK, they’re just trolling. Honestly, you shouldn't take any of them seriously. That’s exactly the point. I often run into guys from MK over on some other Reddit thread, and they talk totally normally—no misogyny, no homophobia, nothing. It actually catches me off guard. I think that platform is just their pressure valve; it's a specific way they joke around that's unique to that subreddit. You could probably conclude they feel the need to write like that precisely because in RL, they don't hit women or lash out at gay people. 🤷 See, there's a difference between actual hate speech and just how they write. It's because they're harmless. Do you really think I’d care if I read something like, "Hey, if a woman can't bake a pie, she should be stoned!"? Not really, because I know they don't mean it.
