I was looking through the paperwork my parents got from Medicare today—they sent over that colon cancer screening kit—and it says you shouldn't take more than 250 mg of Vitamin C supplements a day. Meanwhile, I’ve been taking 1000 mg every single day for over a month now... obviously, right in the middle of doing this test.

So yeah, that's four times the recommended amount 😲
Way to go, geniuses over at Sun... seriously, thanks a lot!

But then again, why did only one of my samples come back positive instead of all three? 😕

Woke up last night with this insane bloating—feels like I'm stuffed, but my stool is so hard I just can't go. Zero sleep to show for it... 😢

Then finally this morning, things move along properly (probably just because I drank some herbal detox tea last night), and I end up passing like thirty tiny little pieces... honestly, I don't even remember the last time my stool wasn't just fragmented. 😢

Btw, after the first wipe, I noticed a tiny speck of blood on the toilet paper 😢

So, looks like it's going to be another positive test... guess I'm not dodging that kolonoskopija after all 😢 😢

Might as well drop off this first sample today so I don't have to deal with those strict diet restrictions for another two days—since there's going to be blood anyway

I read your story on both threads, and honestly? You need to stop hunting for problems that aren't there. If you’re passing little pellets 😁, you're fine. Seeing bright red blood is actually pretty standard—just go see a doctor. Don't waste money on some specialist; just hit up your regular GP. 99% of the time, they'll tell you it's just hemorrhoids caused by straining too hard when you're trying to go 😉.

That sounds like a plan...

I’m bumping this thread because I need some advice. About a month ago, my mom's neurologist put her on Aspirin100 every single day. She’s dealing with inflammation in her vestibular system, and the doc figured the Aspirin would help boost her circulation.
She’s been taking it every morning alongside her other meds for a month now, but a couple of days ago, she noticed blood in her stool.

Obviously, your mind immediately jumps to the absolute worst-case scenario—like colon cancer. She went to see her GP, who basically guessed it might just be internal hemorrhoids without doing any real testing. The doctor prescribed some pills, suppositories, and an ointment for a ten-day course before she follows up again.
That said, I’ve been doing some digging online and saw that Aspirin can actually cause both visible and occult GI bleeding.
Realistically, how likely is it to cause bleeding after just a month of daily Aspirin use? Can Aspirin actually be the culprit in a situation like this?

Hey there. So, I just had a routine physical through work a few days ago and they found some occult blood in my stool. Naturally, my mind went straight to the worst-case scenario. I’ve got a kolonoskopija scheduled for the day after tomorrow. What are the actual odds of them finding something nasty? I'm 31, spend basically my entire workday sitting at a desk, dealing with stress, eating pretty poorly, and I've dropped about 15 pounds over the last three months (partly from diet, partly from being more active). Oh, and yeah, right before the checkup, I dealt with some pretty intense diarrhea for maybe 3 or 4 days.

Thanks in advance...

Look, based on what was just laid out there, I wouldn't go painting everything in such a dark shade of black. 😉

Look, a kolonoskopija is honestly one of the best ways to get things checked out. I won't lie to you—it’s definitely not exactly a spa day or the most pleasant experience you'll ever have, but it's nothing you can't handle. Just hang in there, and hey, let us know once you get those results back.

Hey there,

So, my issues originally started with my stomach, but now they’ve moved over to my left colon—that bend in the gut, you know?—where I'm getting this bloating feeling like there's just trapped air in there. It gets pretty uncomfortable whenever I bend over or sit down; it feels like it inflates and then starts aching. Anyway, I totally panicked, so I went straight to a private clinic to get a CBC done. Out of three samples, two showed bleeding. But looking at this forum now, I'm realizing there’s actually a prep process involved that I had no clue about since I just went through a private doctor. I was taking Controloc twice a day at 40mg when my first bowel movement happened, and I wasn't eating great—just felt really weak and off—so my bathroom habits were all over the place, sometimes fine, sometimes a struggle. I ended up submitting the second and third samples on the same day, and they sat out at room temperature for maybe two hours before being handed in. Since I didn't know about any specific prep and was just eating normally, and it hadn't even been 48 hours since I took the Controloc... is it possible these are false positives? It just seems weird to me that 2 out of 3 would show bleeding if it were actually happening, right?
