Melissa Watson4, you’re the one who actually asked to be permabanned from this forum. You even went as far as starting a poll about it, listing all your own "sins" that would normally get anyone else kicked off instantly. I guess you got what you wanted, more or less.

Maybe you took offense when I mentioned that with complex topics like political and military analysis, you really need to look at the bigger picture. Things can be interpreted in all sorts of ways, and I guess not all those interpretations are harmless for society or the world.
So, just tell me straight—do you actually have a reliable grasp on the different political ideologies?
Some comments here have caused open outrage among certain participants. The majority seems to be asking—if you don't agree, why the hell are you even hanging around this thread?
If most people think the opposition is sticking their noses where they don't belong, I guess that says something about the consensus. Maybe we can draw our own conclusions from that.
What would you conclude? I guess you'd probably think I'm some kind of moderator on another forum. Maybe.

Yeah, I’d love some answers on that too. dustyharbor18 vanished for months—right around the exact time that entire thread about psychopathy got locked by a bunch of pointless trolls... It was a mess. For days, Morgan Hernandez5 was stuck fighting off those weird clones all by herself, with absolutely zero backup from the staff, except for maybe a little help from Noah Myers8. And now, without any explanation or real reason, she’s just gone. Meanwhile, we suddenly have moderators popping back up after being totally MIA for months. Of course, their sudden reappearance immediately triggered a wave of backlash from the community, mostly because the moderation has been so subpar lately. Interesting...🤷

Alex, I love the optimism, but honestly, this world isn't some parallel reality—it's just the real, modern one...
Just look at the kinds of topics they tried to tackle and everything will become crystal clear. On that thread, we went deep into why certain people actually win in today's world and how they succeed. Yeah, maybe this is just a reality where being a decent moderator doesn't really pay off. The threads Morgan Hernandez5 was moderating were easy enough to just skip over, and the internet is a powerful thing. I guess it might be time for actual censorship to step in.

Silverjackal, I dig the optimism, but unfortunately, this world isn't some alternate reality—it's just the real, messy, modern one...
I mean, just look at the kinds of topics that get Featured and it’ll all become pretty clear. On that thread, we went deep into why certain people—the winners of today—actually succeed. Yeah, this is just a reality where being a decent moderator doesn't really carry much weight. The threads Morgan Hernandez5 was moderating were easy enough to just skip past, and let's face it, the internet is a powerful thing. I guess it might be time for actual censorship in the true sense of the word.

With this whole mess regarding the Alternative and the moderation stuff, I'm mostly just bummed I won't be able to nominate you for moderator anymore. I've read and listened to more of your wisdom than anyone else here. It sucks how values have flipped lately—like, people at the bottom get pushed up while the good ones get shoved down. But honestly, we don't have to care about their standards. We don't have to be part of it!
So whatever, we don't care, because we know what power actually looks like.

It wasn't always this simple here, mod. One minute you're pissed, the next you're laughing. One minute you hate the whole world, then you love someone. You win some, you lose some. You always gotta give something up to get something. Whether you realize it or not, it happens.

So, I was just sitting here thinking about everything going on lately, and man, it really looks like the Democratic Party is finally doing some serious housecleaning, isn't it? It feels like they're finally sweeping out the old guard and getting things organized for once. Honestly, who doesn't love a good fresh start when things have been feeling a bit messy? It makes you wonder if this is actually the turning point we've all been waiting for, or just another temporary shakeup, but hey, I’m staying optimistic! It's kind of refreshing to see them actually trying to clear the air, don't you think?

I can try to give you an answer, even though I don't hold a mod position. That Psychopathy thread started losing steam; aside from a few regulars, nobody was really engaging. People were lurking, sure, but they weren't posting. Why? Likely because the moderation style felt a bit too overbearing and "motherly." The thread only survived as long as it did because people were citing outside sources, which is a great way to learn, but it feels more like a blog than a forum. A forum thrives on debate, and there wasn't much of that left, thanks to both sides of the aisle. Blaming some third or fourth party doesn't really make much sense.🤷

As for Alternative, it is exactly what we, the users, make of it. Swapping out moderators won't make this place better or worse; it will simply be different. If someone is looking for something more aggressive, biting, or hardcore (in any direction), there are plenty of specialized forums out there for that. This platform is for the general public. Unless, of course, someone actually believes the 156,452 of us constitute the elite of society?🤷

It's a tough one...😉
