Paul Ross12 said:Exactly. Between gamer and Pandora, I've had my fill of "WTF" movies for the year.

Look, Pandora is actually a great flick, but Gamer... man, they seriously dropped the ball there. Given the subject matter, they could have done so much better, but I guess it's still worth a watch if you have nothing else to do...

Solid idea and great execution—though I have to say, the ending felt a bit messy to me... It just didn't feel fully fleshed out, you know? Regardless, you've got Gerard Butler in there, so I'll take it! 😍

Good concept, but it was executed so sloppily with all these annoying directing gimmicks that would probably only impress some 16-year-old kid obsessed with video games. And when the villain started doing that whole dance number, I was just like, WTF?

What an absolute pile of garbage. I sat through it yesterday. Sadly, I did.

Great concept, sure... but that’s about it.
Everything else is such absolute garbage that it doesn't even qualify as truth—I honestly don't know how I sat through the whole thing.
Just, wow, incredibly bad.🙂

Yeah, agreed. That was a bizarrely unnecessary addition. 😲

Just play some FPS games and you'll see how common it actually is. Not even mentioning the teabagging. 😁

Watched it yesterday:
The movie was (subjectively speaking) good enough to not be a total disaster 😁. The core concept seems pretty solid, though I think they could have executed it much better... but whatever. The first half was way more engaging than the second—someone already pointed this out—and honestly, the second half felt bloated with unnecessary filler, like that dance sequence you mentioned 😕. If the goal was to be some deep, philosophical masterpiece, I didn't feel it 😁. If it was just meant to be mindless action, there are plenty of better movies out there (in my opinion).
Anyway, it's a decent enough watch, but it fell way short of what I was hoping for 😉

5.5/10

And what exactly is that? 😕

It’s visually interesting with some pretty twisted scenes, but overall... just okay.

Personally, I thought it was a solid flick. The way they put it together was pretty engaging, the scenes were well-shot, and I actually liked their vision of the future. Plus, the ending didn't rely on those tired tropes—no massive explosions, no endless fireballs, and no body count of wounded soldiers just for the sake of it. That kind of stuff has been getting on my nerves lately. Take something like FPS, for instance, where it’s just constant submarine battles, artillery strikes, and thousands of soldiers dying left and right. It gets exhausting. For me, it's a 7.5/10.

I’m actually planning to give it another watch soon, just to make sure I didn't miss any of the finer details.

Personally, I thought the movie was excellent. As an FPS fan, I probably wouldn't pick up a game like that myself, but who knows what the future holds?👍

What an absolute dumpster fire, this movie was a total slog from start to finish. 👎

I actually shut it off after about 20 minutes of pure agony; I really wanted to push through just because Dexter was in it—you know, for the eye candy and all that—but man, it just wasn't worth the headache. It’s honestly garbage.

My rating: 1/10

Seriously, props to you for actually making it to the end.
