Good evening, everyone! 🙂
I am going to attempt this once more, as following the recent update, YouTube videos have ceased to display on the forum entirely, leaving nothing behind but a dull gray square... I am using Safari, and curiously, the issue seems isolated strictly to this site. Has anyone else encountered a similar frustration? 😁

Twice today, my attempts to submit posts were thwarted by recurring error messages. Curiously, while my username keeps disappearing from the submission field, it remains visible in the dropdown menu, and the system seems to be wiping my password as well.
Oddly enough, I was able to send a private message without any issues.
I have been trying to post within the Waiting for the Sun thread.
I would appreciate it if these technical glitches could be resolved.
Best regards,

I’m going to try this one more time; ever since the update, YouTube videos on the forum won't load—all I see is a gray square. For the record, I'm using Safari and it seems to be an issue exclusive to this site. Is anyone else dealing with this? 😁
Drop a link to a specific post so I can check it on my end. I have no intention of digging through the endless wilderness of this forum just to hunt down posts with YT embeds. 🕺
And are we talking about Safari on an iPhone, an iPad, or a Mac?

Yet, strangely enough, it let me send a private message without any issues.

Please fix these glitches.

🤔
There aren't any actual bugs, just the usual sluggishness from the server. Maybe that's what's causing it?
You really need to specify which error you're seeing; either grab a screenshot or write down the exact message and let us know.
Have you tried using a different browser?

And are we discussing Safari on the iPhone, the iPad, or the Mac?
Good morning, @Modesty! 🙂
I appreciate you reaching out; I find myself experiencing this same issue on both my Mac and my iPhone, such as in this instance:

It’s broken. I did find a possible workaround, so give that a shot and see if it actually works for you.
I honestly don't have an issue with embedded videos; when I'm on my iPhone or iPad, I just use Tapatalk, and over on my Mac, I use Chrome where everything functions perfectly fine. I simply don't have the patience to waste my time messing around with this.

It seems like the font resizing feature in my posts hasn't been behaving lately. For instance, when I attempt to make a specific snippet of text smaller than the rest, it somehow ends up looking larger instead. Does anyone know if this little glitch might actually get fixed?
In this case, you can clearly see that the font size was supposed to be set to 1.

Hey everyone, I’ve run into a bit of a roadblock. Someone tried to send me a DM, but they have their private messaging settings turned off. Is there any way to get a hold of them? Feel free to just shoot me a message directly if you know a workaround. Thanks in advance for the help.

It’s honestly become kind of ridiculous that I have to clear out all the junk from my phone just to get myself logged into my computer... even though I'm already signed in on the mobile device itself.

I'll look into it and let you know if I find anything out.

Just check which thread they are most active in and leave a reply there.
Alternatively, just report that PM using the little icon and explain the situation, asking that the user be prompted to unlock their inbox so you can respond.
Sometimes I honestly can't tell where the moderator's authority ends and ours begins, but I am fairly certain the site admin can still bypass those privacy settings to send a message even when an inbox is locked.

I'm still lost.

It’s obvious here that the font size should have been 1.
...
On this forum (maybe just this one?) "size=1" denotes the smallest font size. A standard font is "size=2"
Higher values like 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 result in larger fonts:

Just hanging out on the forum. Is it just this one? "I suppose I should have been more specific when I first mentioned the dimensions, as it’s quite easy to get lost in the details and realize later that I haven't actually provided the most crucial part of the conversation!1It means... The smallest one. It really all comes down to the font, doesn't it? Everything changes when you finally find that perfect typeface. It feels like everything is just settling back into a perfectly normal rhythm lately. It’s all about finding that perfect fit, isn't it?I must admit, I’ve spent quite a bit of time pondering the sheer scale of things lately, though perhaps I'm just overthinking it! It really makes you wonder how much space we actually need to feel truly comfortable.2"
It’s certainly much larger. I suppose I should have been more precise with my wording earlier, though I can't help but feel a little silly for being so vague! 3, 4, 5, 6 Could we perhaps try using a larger font size? It would certainly make things much easier on my eyes.
I find myself wondering if I might have accidentally stumbled into a digital void, as there seems to be absolutely nothing here for me to read!On this particular forum, if you're looking to play around with the text formatting, using "size=1" will give you the absolute smallest font available. For those who prefer the standard, everyday look, just stick with "size=2," while anything from size 3 all the way up to 6 will gradually scale the text up to a much larger, more prominent size.
Good morning! I was actually just wondering about that myself—why does it work out this way in practice? I find myself pondering the subtle nuances of typography lately, almost as if I were lost in a deep conversation about the soul of design. The font size seems a bit larger than what we usually see around here, so let's just let Casey Bennett take a look at it and get everything sorted out. Sound good? 😉

bluerider2 said:Good morning! I was just asking why, in practice, font 1 ends up being larger than the standard font size. Let’s just let Casey Bennett handle it. Sound good? 😉
I've reported it, but don't expect me to guarantee anything else moving forward. 😬

Good morning to you.
I've been awake for quite some time now. Afternoon coffee. ☕
bluerider2 said:That’s exactly what I was asking: why does this happen in practice? font 1 The font size is larger than usual.
That’s exactly what I just said:
"In practice, font. 'size=1" Not. Font size is larger than normal."
Anyone could have seen that in your very first post:
bluerider2 said:Let's say, I need a portion of the text. It’ll happen. written in lowercase. Unlike the rest., a The system is online. Ready for input. It falls out. Larger..
Will this ever get fixed?
In the quote above, there is...Larger.Written. lower case. No. The rest of the text..
And you can clearly see that same point in this second post of yours:
bluerider2 said:That’s exactly what I asked: why is this how things work in practice? font 1 The font size is larger than usual.
In the post cited above, there is...font 1Written. I am ready. Send the content. Just letters. I don't know. The rest of the text..
Let's just let Casey Bennett handle it. Fine by me. 😉
So, how exactly is anyone supposed to solve this? Only yours. A "problem"? Please.

coppersailor28 said:And how exactly would anyone else be able to fix this strictly my own little 'problem'?
I really don't have the energy to take a screenshot and upload images just to prove to you what this "strictly my problem" actually looks like on my monitor, as I honestly have much more important things to attend to right now. Take care!
#377 ·
bluerider2, once you get in, go ahead and send over a screenshot. Because for me, it’s slightly smaller.
Sure, the difference is almost negligible, but it is still technically smaller 😁
. Also, let me know which browser you're running.

coppersailor28, if you aren't going to actually offer any assistance, then please refrain from interfering in the future—especially with comments along the lines of
You know I have zero patience for people who just post nonsense to kill time, much like certain colleagues over at the local precinct for no reason I can fathom.
And how, precisely, would anyone else be expected to resolve a "problem" that is so uniquely yours?

Is there a cute moderator around who can help me set this up as my signature?
Hey, Dave, do me a favor and toss this in if you can. 😘
