Since I’m pretty much tech-illiterate, I’m at a loss for how to fix this. I’ve got a modest
tablet—an iPhone 15 running iOS 17—and for the last two days, I haven't been able to access Stack Overflow. Instead,
I just get those annoying "site is not secure" warnings. I noticed some friends on their phones aren't having any issues at all.
I tried
Google searching "Stack Overflow won't load," and I found about a dozen articles linking to the issue. I clicked one, and it took me straight to Reddit, but the thread was from 2018. I scrolled back up to the top and
clicked the link for Stack Overflow to try and jump back into the present day, 2023. From there, everything seems to be working fine.
The whole thing feels incredibly bizarre, so if anyone has any actual advice...

If you ask me, you should just try switching up your browser or maybe just download Tapatalk instead.

Hey, I’m running into an issue on the forum where I can’t send a PM to someone because I keep getting this error: "Someone has exceeded their private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space." I’m not going to name names here because I don't want to call them out publicly. Look, I get it if someone is stepping away from the site for a bit or just isn't checking their inbox right now, but seriously, being blocked from even sending a message is pretty irritating. So, what am I supposed to do about this? 🤷 I'm feeling pretty lost here 😕 I mean, I would at least understand if there was a heads-up that they were going offline, but there’s zero logic or explanation provided by the system. We were having such a great conversation about everything. I tried messaging them Friday night, then again Saturday at 1:30 PM, and then I tried a third time at the exact same time on Saturday, but it wouldn't let me through. (Now I'm not sure 🤷) this happened sometime last week, maybe between Thursday and Saturday. They actually told me they’d clear out some space after a couple more messages so their inbox would be free, and that I should just wait for them to reach out. But they specifically told me to send a long, detailed message if I wanted to—which is exactly what I did on Friday night and Saturday afternoon—so why didn't this third one go through? This is my first time posting here, so I'm looking for some advice or an explanation. Thanks in advance!

His inbox is a total disaster zone; just give him a minute to clear out all that junk.

No matter which thread I click on, these massive ads just slam into the right side of the page. It completely covers up the end of the posts... I can't even see half the text because of them.
And it’s the exact same mess every single time I load a new page.

I’ve tried navigating back to a previous page and then coming back to what I was reading, hoping things would reset. If I scroll down really slowly, it works sometimes. But most of the time, it doesn't help at all.
It's getting harder and harder to actually read anything here... not that I bother posting much anymore anyway.

Can we actually do something about this? Any mods out there listening?
