I don't wear tights or leggings at all... they just scratch and itch my skin terribly. Plus, I feel freezing regardless of what I wear. During the winter, I always make sure to wear a bodysuit to keep my kidneys and back warm and supported.

Personally, I don't even wear socks during the winter, let alone undershirts. The only exception is when it’s actually snowing and getting truly freezing, in which case I might put some nylon stockings in my boots. Otherwise, I really can't stand boots, so I tend to just get through the winter in regular shoes.

I suppose I have frozen quite a few times, but I think I've gotten used to it by now. It's just that I simply cannot stand having anything on my feet, whether it's stockings or socks or anything else at all.

crimsonwalker6 said:Ladies, I’ve been thinking... as those biting winter days start creeping up on us, I find myself wondering about your approach to thick tights—you know, the cotton ones, the wool blends, all that heavy stuff. I’m asking because I personally tend to layer on just about everything I can find once the temperature drops, mostly sticking to that de-mode aesthetic, but I’m curious how the younger crowd views it... what kind of outfits you actually put together, because let’s be honest, it’s nearly impossible to look particularly sexy when you're bundled up in thick, bulky tights...😠 😠

I'm not just carrying them around! 😕 What's even the point of wearing jeggings or those tight-fitting leggings? I honestly don't get how they’re supposed to change my look. The only thing they actually do is bite into my legs the first few times I put them on, leaving me scratching like a maniac. 🤣

Personally, during the winter months, I’m constantly layering up with leggings, knee-high socks, and bodysuits.
But honestly, I am just straight-up terrified of the cold.
I absolutely live for warmth and I absolutely loathe being chilly.
The second I feel even a tiny bit of a chill, I turn into such a grouch! 😬

What kind of underwear are you wearing? Cotton, wool, nylon...?

Honestly, I can't stand leggings and tank tops...😢a plus, they just make me overheat whenever I'm stuck in an enclosed space.
I'd much rather go with some shorts and a longer tee (just so I don't end up dealing with kidney issues again—which, by the way, is incredibly painful). For being outdoors, I definitely need a scarf, gloves, though I rarely bother with a hat.

I'm in the exact same boat: all winter long, it's just a bra and thermal tights under my pants (or as my godmother calls them, "cozy-tights"). I absolutely hate leggings and bodysuits; I might throw on an undershirt if I'm feeling really adventurous, but that's about it.

I've got plenty of thick tights in my closet. They’re mostly colorful and come in all sorts of different patterns, too. Honestly, I can't help but wonder if my toes would just fall off from the sheer cold if I tried wearing nothing but thin nylons during the winter? I really am someone who freezes at the slightest chill.

So, do you just layer socks over the leggings?

Same here, honestly—maybe even worse...

I just can't stand having tights on, especially under pants. First, they squeeze my legs too tight, and then there's the extra layer of pants on top. Just thinking about it gives me the chills... and not the good kind.

When the real deep freeze hits, I used to buy super baggy pants just so I could layer thin pajamas underneath, otherwise I'd just freeze through...

Man, winter is coming back, which means my struggles with this are coming back too... 🙂

Not really, because I usually just stick to thick tights that get the job done. Since I find myself wearing skirts quite often, I tend to pick out pairs with various patterns and colors, though nothing too loud—just little subtle designs that feel right.
I also make sure to check the fabric composition, because if they're made entirely of synthetic materials, my skin starts itching like crazy. 😬

When I'm just relaxing at home, I have those heavy wool socks that my grandmother knitted for me. 🤣

Oh, I am a total psycho when it comes to this—I get freezing cold so easily! It’s terrible. I always wear an undershirt, and as soon as winter hits, I go straight for thicker tights, followed by those heavy fleece-lined leggings we used to wear when we were kids. Sometimes I even layer them: tights under the leggings, then socks over everything else. 😬

Yeah, tights under the dress, that's what she wrote. 🙄 She said it twice. Either you don't understand American English, or you just love making a huge deal out of absolutely nothing, like some kind of idiot.

Plus, I layer tights with socks if I’m wearing pants... though when my favorite $100 pairs aren't an option, I just double up on some $40 ones. Honestly, I handle the cold so poorly that I've actually considered wandering through the city in ski pants during winter...😳

Socks over tights? Tights under leggings? Look, it's blindingly obvious people do this. Either they actually do it, or they're lying about it—but honestly, why would anyone lie about something like that? And seriously, does everything you find weird have to be phrased as a question? 😁

I don't wear pantyhose, but I used to layer up with two pairs of thick leggings. Problem is, when my stomach gets that sweaty and warm, it makes me nauseous, so I’ll throw some over-the-knee socks over the leggings instead. Plus short socks, obviously. 😁 And then you have the nerve to tell me, "Of course that's weird." 🤣
